  1. Thanks for your knowledge guys, I'll check out the parts for sale section first and I would prefer new for the back plates (they seem to be the hardest to find). I'll also check out ACLex, its good to know we have a supplier right here on the forums. Failing that I'll contact the dealer directly. I'll update on how I get on as this post will prove useful if it pops up in someone's search results. Thanks :)
  2. I've been told I need a set of rear back plates and a rear handbrake shoe fitting kit, so I had a bit of a google around and managed to track down a handbrake and fitting kit on ebay. I haven't managed to track down a set of rear back plates as yet. Thought I'd drop the question here of what are the options for getting IS200 parts such as these. Can you just ring up your local dealer and order these parts (for a premium)? Any online places any members use and recommend? Any members have their own shops? Probably no single answer to this :-)
  3. No extras as far as I know. They said my front breakpads were 80% worn and wanted £120 more to fit some. I got them done at a good local garage for £80. So as far as I know there was no extra work done or parts fitted Three other places quoted around the same for a standard 40 000.
  4. That was the Bristol dealers. Got a quote from Swindon, Cardiff and one other place I can't remember but they were all around the £400 mark for a major 40 000 mile service. Which dealers do it for £200?
  5. Hi all. I have an IS200 SE and its just had its 40 000 service which set me back £425. That was the cheapest of three quotes I recieved. I do over 20 000 miles a year so its massive 60 000 service will be fast approaching and I've read it averages about £700 I intend to keep my lovely IS200 for a long time but I really resent paying out these mad labour charges for main dealer services. So my question is: Does anyone know of a japanese specialist or a good independent in the South West Bath/Bristol area? Because of the mileage I do the services come around very quickly and its killing my wallet :) Thanks.
