It's home... I finally have a car again. I'll do a proper write up on it tomorrow when I've had a bit more of a play and get some pics. But so far very happy. It drives superbly around town and extremely smooth. Just like normal. Also when you do put your foot down it certainly pulls. Already done a Beemer on the M25, thought he'd tail gate me flashing his lights, lol :D

Mu turbo manifold was custom made by Mike (Roadrash) for his Lex before he crashed it. It is a tubular one where the turbo sits above. I think it mas modified from an IS300 one? I'm sure Mike can shed some more light on it. Actually he made a thread on his old IS200 conversion and has an in depth blog including pics of the work that was carried out on making the manifold. (Lots of painstaking work if I remember correctly)

Hi guys :) Finally now that the weather has permitted I am picking the car up tomorrow. Not actually seen my car 'in the flesh' for over a year so I am excited but also extremely apprehensive.

I have the carbon fibre one. They do point slightly left but its not that noticable. Picture of it in my garage, link on signature.

It certainly does mate. It moved along very quickly since its been at SPC Horsham. :D I was told some power figures a few weeks ago whilst it was on the dyno but can't remember exact figures. The car I think is running 1.2 bar not 1.4 bar that it was before. But the car works properly this time. Its not all about the power for me anymore. At 1.2 bar I think the figures were around 340bhp and 370 torque. But as soon as I see the final figures I shall post up. The power figure on 1.2 bar is less than the 1.4 bar figure but the torque is the same as SPC Horsham seem to have done a top job with the mapping. Little update: Car is mapped and running fine. Still a small issue with the starting that is being looked at.

Are there any Turbo IS200's that work I must ask? lol Mine is running spot on, had a few probs at the start of the year but thats all sorted now. It was all down to some wiring from the ecu and took quite some time to figure out :) Mine too is working fine. :D

There still aren't many turbo'd IS around so I doubt that the small garage near Birmingham has done several, Come to think of it I can't think of a garage that way that has done 1 to my knowledge. Unless you maybe class Thor as birmingham way?

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE FUEL GAUGE SORTED MATE :winky: AS IVE BEEN TOLD " THAY NOW KNOW HOW TO DO IT " :D As far as I know mate it was ok. It was screwed up after the v-pro was first fitted but it went back to TDI and was sorted. However I've never run it right down to know fully. I was doing Anfield and back with just under a 1/4 tank left from full which is a 300 mile round trip and some very spirited driving.

Yeah I was informed yesterday that the car had been running and a few things had been sorted on it. Although it is still work in progress at least after a long while of it sitting doing nothing it now seems to be at a place that know what to do and its coming along. :D

Nice one Dave. Sounds very impressive mate. Do you still have the V-pro? Any starting issues or engine warning lights?

Its going to be looked at and fingers crossed might finally get sorted.. Have a few options to finish this sorry mess off at last. A can of petrol and a box of matches being one option

The thought did actually cross my mind. But then so did driving it up north across those mountains, sputtering and cutting out.

I am interested....do you think its ok to fit used ones? I am presuming that the coil packs are the same for all IS200's....mines a '99 model. How many do you have and how much do you want for them? I've at least 2 that I know of. I sold quite a few a while ago. I'll have a proper look later mate.

I have a few 2nd hand coil packs still kicking around, as I've bought loads of them in the past. Not really covered much milage if you're interested.
