Had it on a diagnostics reader this morning and indeed you are correct Kam05, there is a coil pack gone. I have one on order so limping along for the next 3 days. Will let you know if this resolves the issue Thanks

Both TRC and Engine management lights were flashing on dash this morning. Car driving like a plug has gone but suspect that it is because the management light is on. GOing to bring it down to garage this morning to see what diagnostics say. Got oil changed recently in one of hte tyre places and have a dread that they put in wrong grade. Auto box IS200.

Aido Thanks for your recommendaition on changing the transmission fluid. While it might sound idiotic I would not have considered that it might have been an issue. i assumed the servicing would have taken care of such things. (and my mechanic came highly recommended). Car has been runnign sweetly since and whether or not it is my imagination it also appears to have improved the fuel economy. No more jerking into lower gear under hard acceleration, just smooth ride all the way. Winning all round. Thanks again

No, I have tried nothing at this point. I thought perhaps the clutches (or whatever) might typically start to go in a car of this age. I will try change that and see what happens. Hi all When putting the car into R recently the car takes a scond or two to engage then jumps into gear. Car has 90k miles and is 00 year. Is this normal or is there something going wrong?

Are NGK spark plugs ok for the IS200. Do Denso's make that much difference that it is worth my while serching them out. Not easy to get nearby by all account having phoned around. Thanks

Guys Any thoughts on why my IS200 auto engine may be doing this. Left it in the airport at the weekend for a couple of days and it shuddered/stuttered quite badly (almost not sure if it wanted to keep going kind of thing) when I started it up upon return . Revved it a little and after about 500 yards had damped down. Not a problem with daily use but have noticed elements of ot recently when car is sitting for a period. Thanks for feedback

Thanks - Just got it 3 weeks ago - 2000 IS200 so am new to site :D Err 3 is first and hopefully last problem I will have for some time

I also have an ERR 3 on my stereo. How do you remove it from the dash?
