  1. have u done yours? and if so how much was it? Its getting done next week for £325 at a lexus dealer but i;m a tad worried at what the final bill will be
  2. My IS200 is 4 years old soon and due a service but the milage is only 27K so will they do a full 40K service or a intermediate 30K service (which i had done last year aswell) or do i just wait till it gets to 40k very confused please help :duh:
  3. Thanks for the replies. I took the car back in today and a technician came out on a test drive with me, he was convinced it was down to incorrect wheel balancing (wobble was only there between 56-60mph) so they took the car in there and then. They did a thorough job this time (aparently out by 5g and not placed correctly)and it now drives perfectly :) Shame it took 4 attempts to solve it but at least its done now
  4. I recently purchased a 2003 IS200 , on the test drive i noticed a wobble on the steering wheel and advised them of it. The car still had it when i collected it (noticed on the way home) and they have had the car back another twice and still failed to fix it. So far they have ... 1st return .... skimmed offside disc and balanced both front tyres. 2nd return .... skimmed nearside disc and done 4 wheel alignment. I am going to take it back for the 3rd time but need some suggestions as to what the problem may be. When the car is driven on a even road at 55-60mph the wheel wobbles back and forth and can be visibly seen when i take my hands of the wheel. If i move the wheel slightly left to right it can be felt more. The car has the 18" alloys and rosso tyres. Any help will be appreciated
  5. Yes i've seen the place in darlington but not heard if they are good or bad Will pop in at the weekend and get a price Not sure about tinting the rear window now if it might end up looking naff
  6. I want to get the rear windows tinted for the is200. Is 35% tint similar to the sport windows ? and could anyone recomend someone in the Darlington or Teeside area (or is there anywhere i should avoid) What should be the rough cost of the 2 rear sides and the back window just so i don't get ripped off Thanks in advance for any help
  7. Thanks all , think i will go for the Peco. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper than Ebay ? (£215 inc p&p)
  8. I am planning a new exhaust for the Lex I don't want a huge pipe that the cat will get lost in and i don't want it to be Saxo chav loud. After alot of searching the forum i have narrowed it down to these 2 (Peco or TTE) Hopefully these offer a small increase in BHP and are just slightly louder and have a sportier rasp. Can any members offer advice comparing the 2 ? Cheers
  9. I have a blue is200 ... would blue / silver decals look good or tacky then ?? i just happen to have some blue caliper paint so seems a shame to waste it
  10. thanks for the welcomes :) I contacted Privilige to do the change of vehicle and they logged the Styling Kit as a factory fitted option and seemed ok with that. I was very pleased to hear my premium would only be £75 more than present (making it around £345 for the year) fully comp protected etc etc. The car is a 2003 (03) SE in blue with styling kit and 18" alloys and a mere 12000 miles :D Looking forward to collecting it next week
  11. Hi all I am about to buy a 2003 IS200 SE with Styling kit and was curious to know what exactly this comprised of and an idea what it cost as an option. It appears to have a differnet front bumper, rear skirt and 18" alloys ...is there anything that was included. Also has anyone had any problems with insurance companys charging extra for this kit ? Also if the car has 12K miles on how many service stamps should be in the book Any info will be much appreciated (done the site search but not found alot of info on this kit)
  12. Ebay auction I am looking to swap / part ex my celica for an IS200 . Anything considered but would prefer a Sport model with manual box and black interior please email steven.guy1@ntlworld.com with details Thanks
