I have to order 2 for our customers Green wire had a fault deep inside the epoxy in the black box. Fitted a replacement one. Car runs good, lets see on the test drive monday morning before I return the car to my customer.

The blown IS200's where stock IS200 Kompressors.. factory build.. Journalists.. bad fuel and racing it on a 40C day with 4 people and a/c blasting is what I am afraid that happened. The pre cat burns out first.. then a hole on a piston :)

VVTI has to do with Cam profile. Variable Valve timing with Inteligence. Trying to alter will require serious reprograming skills. Also I doubt if the results versus the cost would be satisfactory.

My opinion from the experience we have with hot weather/crappy fuel and crazy drivers... #1 Engine management. #2 Lower the compression (have seen many blown IS200's TTE's) with punny 0.4 bar... We have a fine example of a IS200 turbo roaming the streets of Athens with a twin Turbo setup (2 daihatsu Charade turbos)and lowered compression still holding up at about 300bhp. Intercool it, Water inject it if you can and you will be happy. I would not go A/T either.. not a strong tranny. Its ok for a TTE IS but not a turbo one.. Good luck

What we do is to tighten up the roof mounting bolts and the squeak is gone. The IS owners complained here in Greece that the roof squeaked when they parked on the curb... Body flex... We have also discovered that the motor mounts, subframe mounts, tranny mounts and the bridge need tightening at the service interval for a nice and tight IS. You will be surprised how much do they loosen up.
