  1. Finally it is working I had to buy a new switch on eBay which turned up yesterday still very confused to what can have caused the whole episode. Thanks to all who responded
  2. Well finally got door panel off tried reset procedure nothing changed. Just to recap drivers window switch will go down but not up. Taken switch apart cannot see any broken bits checked all cables going back to door ECU all fine. Just one question I have do the window buttons have any springs in them to move the white pegs up and down to make contact on the circuit board? I could not see any and was wondering if something was missing. Door panel currently off car on drive 😞
  3. Thank you both will try at the weekend, didn't go down this route previously as thought as window goes up and down when roof open/closed thought it was something else. Will report back
  4. Thanks tried this a few times and no difference, very odd
  5. WIndscreen was replaced, and radiator brackets which were badly corroded. Nothing electrical
  6. Brand New, worked fine when I first installed then had to do some other stuff on car a few months later. Battery is always on trickle charge when car not being used.
  7. The window goes up and down fine when I raise or lower the roof, but cant get it to do the same using the switch. I swapped switches with a friend who has the same car and still did not work so I know its not the switch. Any help appreciated. Thanks Peter
  8. I have same problem, no fault codes showing have swapped discs, pads and actuator rings and made no difference. Would appreciate some guidance
  9. Have decided to replace the dust deflectors as well only £11 each plus VAT from my Lexus Dealer will report back being fitted tomorrow.
  10. ARe front and rear the same? Seem to find lots for rear but not for front, thanks
  11. Have tried to find these in Uk without success https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154757762042?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338365712&toolid=20006&customid=EB35154027& also do nit seem to make rear right fyi. Am going back to garage Monday and leaving car with them to investigate and also fit new front sensors made by kavo and supplied by autolinkmx5.com both for £60 new.
  12. I took it to a garage to have it done, I will need to check. I am right that there are only rings at the rear?
  13. So as title said replaced rear reluctor rings, disks and pads but still get that pulsating when braking, any help would be appreciate as am planning to get valeted and then garaged till the spring. Thanks in advance
  14. This needs to be fitted back, if I remember it is a support
  15. As I said you dont need anything else in the plastic bezel take the circuit board out. Silicone it in, you will need the Garmin power supply run to the cigarette lighter, I found other ones would not work. Also dont forget to run the external aerial out thru a vent by top of window so it has a good signal.
  16. Leave the cables on the loom connected, I used clear mastic also the board around the bezel seem in this picture is not needed.
  17. As I said the power for the camera and transmitter is taken from reversing light wire in rear cluster, I can’t show a picture as car stored for winter. The sat nav picks up the signal from the camera which is wired to the transmitter, small box about size of matchbox, I left on show in boot. Honestly is very easy, have you removed the screen from head unit? Here to help...
  18. Thanks for replies so far I was thinking of this https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/bosch/s5008/ based on another old thread here: https://forum.lexusownersclub.com/threads/sc430-battery-choices.3238/ but happy to be "steered" another way 🙂
  19. My 2004 battery needsreplacing just wondering what is the best battery to replace with as thread old and would appreciate advice
  20. Just wanted to update this as also had AC/Climate Heater Control and Radio dipped as well now, very pleased with the results
  21. The speaker for the Garmin can be heard no problem with top up, when down it is hard. The car I bought already had a Bluetooth Sony adaptor with separate speaker fitted, to be honest I left it but am already thinking of changing for the Grom https://gromaudio.com/installs/lexus_sc430_2006__installation_of_grom-usb.html Peter
  22. The sat nav is a standalone model https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/552113 it fits the space perfectly once screen has been removed but as I said all cabling must stay in place as is needed to open and close the electric door covering. All needs to be removed but metal frame is what you need, the electronics on the inside of the plastic frame also is not needed
  23. The back up camera is the Garmin BC 30, which is really easy to insert. The sat nav is harder you need to remove the screen elementand then mount the Garmin in the space I used a couple of metal brackets and silicone. You aslo need to make a whole in the rear for the power cable which must be used as extensions would not work. It is easier than it sounds but certainly not quick. Let me know if I can help further
