Amplifier on a '92 ES300

Does anyone know where the amplifier is located on my 92 ES300, and whether or not I have to bypass it in order to install an aftermarket stereo? I would like to keep the installation simple using a harness adapter from the original connector to my new stereo but I'm not sure that an adapter even exists. Here's what the back of my unit looks like to give you an idea of what parts I may have to purchase. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

It was supposed to be for a '92 (so much for truth in advertising). I think it's for an amp or maybe power. In any case, it doesn't work without the blue plug. BTW, thanks for the reference link, I'll try it out.

I purchased a stock 1992 ES300 stereo on Ebay and had it delivered only to find that the connector on the back doesn't fit. From the front, they look exactly the same. From the back though, mine only has two connectors while this one has a third blue one. Does anyone know of an adapter that can be purchased to make this one work with my vehicle? (This is what the back looks like). Thanks in advance.
