  1. Got myself a set of LS400 calipers and Lexibreak roll center adjusters. Got only 1 problem, I don't know the size of the bolt required. PM'd Dave on facebook and get no replys Does anybody know the size of bolt required? Just don't want to be buying loads of bolts of the wrong length.
  2. Bell housings will be different, but spline are same - so drive plate is same, both 225mm Pressure plate is same too
  3. Wonder up to what boost the management will cope before leaning out. Awaiting your dyno results M8 :)
  4. All this on std ECU with just a fuel cut defender?
  5. Can you feel much difference in acceleration?
  6. Looks like your turbo is oil cooled as can't see water lines. What turbo is it? and what are you using to scavenge the oil from turbo?
  7. I'm looking to turbo my IS too, but looking into management ideas and clutch options? Read that the Altezza clutch is the same as IS200 and also read the Altezza clutch is the same as Celica GT4/MR2 turbo clutch, so IS200 clutch same as Celica GT4/MR2 turbo which can easily hold 300+ brake.
  8. Interesting as I didn't think management would like positive intake pressure. I understand that's why the FCD is there, but you're sure engine isn't running lean before you dyno it?
  9. Just read that the RS200 Altezza clutch will fit. Altezza uses same clutch as Toyota 3SGTE Celica GT4. Is this true - Altezza clutch can be used?
  10. What clutch kits are you guys using when supercharging or turbocharging your cars to about 210/220 brake. In the market for new clutch kit and also like to turbo my IS. Thanks guys.
  11. I love the car it's understated which I like and also really really very fast. Another thing I love about this car ;D
  12. Cheers guys, been looking and like the dark grey with black leather interior. Its going to be the wife's car really, and my weekend car. Gonna wait till feb end and get the best deal for about 15K from local Lexus dealer. Hopefully 08 plate :)
  13. Got a IS200 now for the last 10years - been a perfect car with absolutely no problems, Looking to trade up now and it makes sence to go hybrid power - so the GS450h is the chosen one. Is there anything I neeed to know about these cars? pros/cons? Also like to know real world mpg due to silly fuel prices made sure with our greedy government, Thanks :)
  14. lol, why not if you can pull it off. Thanks for pointing it out Chris, ***** knows how long before I would have noticed it.
  15. Was the parcelshelf brake light after all - don't know why I didn't look at it! All good now :)
  16. have you'll checked in tezzaworld?
  17. lol, silly - didn't think of that :)
  18. My IS200 has been as good as gold - except for the constant 'malfunction cylinder bank 1' which after clearing only appears after months! Anyway, its now got a new problem. The park brake light comes on after the pedal is pressed and dont go out unless left a few hours. Got very good pads all around and the fluid is just below the 'max'. Anybody got any ideas on this esp as the MOT is around the corner.
  19. To be honest, not noticed any difference. Engine feels more torquey from lower revs, so need less right pedal for same engine responce ;) Also as all sensors are fitted into system, no flashing lights on the dash. But its a lil bit loud for a 'luxery car' but not too intrusive if you know what I mean.
  20. Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-1G-FE-2-0-98-05-EXHAUST-DECAT-MANIFOLD-MF6547-/110814501437?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cd0f1a3d joined to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-STAINELESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-DECAT-CAT-DOWNPIPE-DP7935-/200718980598?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ebbc895f6 and ending in http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-CAT-BACK-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-STAINLESS-STEEL-2-0-1998-2005-XE10-/140685015392?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20c17af960 I have the the centre decat and the system. It makes a huge difference to the way the engine feels and the way the car accelerates. Makes the engine come a live and it feels freer and livlier at higher RPM's. Lower rev range is improved no end too.
  21. There is loads of space in the IS200 bay. And quite a few MR2's and Celica's are using the 1MZ engine. The 1MZ bolts on directly to the 3SGE/GTE transmission. and the Altezza Beams gearbox is the one to use. Obviously new engine mounts will have to be fabricated, but the hardest part will be to wire the engine into the std loom as in seperate ECU or standalone.
  22. I'm thinking about an engine swap on my IS200. But I'm thinking about a different route - the 1MZ-FE as found in the Camry; 3.0 V6 I know for a fact that it bolts on directly onto the Altezza gearbox. Has this been done before and are there any wiring diagrams for this? It's the later type engine I'm interested in with the VVTi. I know I will need the engine with complete wiring loom and ECU.
