  1. You are deluding yourselves if you think any car dealer does anything for free. Maybe they did not appear on the invoice as mine did, but the price will have been added in somewhere.
  2. A lot..... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/87009-key-battery-cr1632/
  3. I tried UK Premium (99) for a while, no difference at all from the ordinary stuff.
  4. My recently departed CT had exactly the same annoying rattles, some of which varied according to the ambient temperature. My new Yaris Hybrid is completely rattle free, maybe the French CAN teach the Japanese how to build a car !
  5. Have had a reply from Lexus and they say that all centres should now offer the lower priced battery as standard. They never did explain why they charged the crazy price !
  6. My battery was replaced as part of the 20,000 mile service, so did not get to check the price beforehand. Luckily I only had one key with me ! I am still waiting for a reply from Lexus UK, who set the price, as to why they are so expensive.
  7. Please all be aware that Lexus will charge you £10.01 plus VAT for the above battery. An Optifit version is available for £2.71 plus VAT. Suggest you all ask for the cheap version or go online and get one for even less.
  8. CTs do not have run-flat tyres ! That is why we have the emergency inflation pack to get you on the move again.
  9. I have been living with my CT200 Premier since last November. I opted for the Lateral Damping System with 17 inch wheels. Whilst the ride is not as compliant as my previous Gen3 Prius, there is much less body roll and I can say I have never found it to be uncomfortable. I love the fact that it came with all the toys I desired as standard. A work colleaugue has just purchased a CT200 and has not made any adverse comments about comfort. Go for it ! It will grow on you.
  10. Better than normal halogen lights on my Gen 3 Prius. Not as good as the HIDs I had on my Porsche 911 or BMW X5. Very sharp beam pattern and white light, I find them pretty good on dark country roads. Levelling and washer systems work very well, do not seem to annoy other motorists. Sorry, do not have a camera than can cope with night shots.
  11. I have 17 inch wheels with the Lateral Damping System and the ride is very comfortable, just a lot less body roll than the Gen 3 Prius I had previously. Road noise will depend more on what tyres are fitted not the wheel size. Personally, I think the 17 inch wheels look much better on the car.
  12. I have a CT200h SE-L Premier with the Lateral Damping System. I have the same tyres as you on my 17 inch wheels.
  13. On the 30th November I went from a Gen 3 Prius T Spirit to a CT200h SE-L Premier with Lateral Damping System. I am enjoying a rattle-free car at last with much more comfortable seats and excellent build quality. I am seriously missing my HUD and digital speedometer. The rear window gets very dirty as it is almost vertical and you will be using the wiper much more than in the Prius. The ride is harder than the Prius but not uncomfortable, with much less body roll. The auto-dimming mirrors seem to need the following vehicle to be pretty close to fully dim, could be better. Just as an aside, my insurance premiuim only increased by £12 for the remaining 9 months until renewal.
  14. Ordered on 15 July. Arrived at the dealer today, 20th October, a month earlier than anticipated. The CT200h F-Sport also goes on sale today, and according to the Lexus blog, a sunroof will be an option. http://blog.lexus.co.uk/2011/10/lexus-fires-up-the-new-ct-200h-f-sport/
  15. Placed my order today, 15th July, for a Premier in Ultra Blue with Venaro Grey leather and the Lateral Damping System. Initial estimated delivery date is 28th November. Asked the dealer about the sunroof becoming an option, they had no news about that and also suggested that the weight increase may negatively affect emissions and push the car into a different tax bracket.
  16. Having owned a Prius for nearly 2 years, I can confirm that your winter MPG will be considerably worse than your summer figures. Seems to be one price to pay for the technology, although us poor Prius owners do not get warmed bottoms or heated door mirrors ! There has been considerable discussion on this subject here http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=52
  17. "B" is extra braking on the Prius, so will probably be the same on the RX. "EV" is Electric Vehical mode on the Prius, works below 30 mph only, and with the High Voltage battery at a certain level of charge. As a Prius driver, the RX looks very interesting, and hopefully will get a drive as soon as the car is available in Glasgow.
  18. I have used this company for high performance and 4x4 tyres, and they usually can get what you need at a very good price. http://www.micheldever.co.uk Worth a call.
