so... I'm now the proud owner of an RS200Z (2001 model - after minor change).
Luckily for me, I live in Japan and will be able to ship it back to UK as a personal import next year.
From doing a bit of research, I know that the car must pass the standard SVA, not the ESVA. Basically I know that all the tests done for Standard SVA can be done at the test centre, and no model report is needed...........
however, I'm still not sure exactly what needs to be done to pass the standard SVA. By the way, the car is in completely Original condition.
A few questions for anybody that has the knowledge;
1. For the speedometer: to what extent does this have to be modified ?
Is a simple re-calibration sticker over the dial showing mph OK ? or does the ECU need to be reprogrammed.
2. What about the odometer: does this also need re-calibrating
3. For the HID headlamps: These are fitted as Original Equipment, and have auto levelling + cleaners - is this sufficient ?
4. Alarm and immobilser: Are these needed for the standard SVA ?
to what standard do they have to be ?
5. Rear Fog lights: Is it OK just to fit temporary lights that can be removed aftewards ? If so, has anybody any suggestions how to do ?
6. Tyres: Is a specific speed index needed ? or anything else ?
7. Radio frequencies - whats the best way to change this ?
8. Fuel neck restrictor: Is the UK IS200 part compatible ?
+ Anything else that I've forgotton........
Thanks for your time !!!!!!!!!!!!!
