  1. The simple solution to that ? - we all have a meet @ your place of work ! ← Personally I can not wait for the day that I actually know the answers to at leats some of the questions asked on here then I will be one happy knowledgeable mega posting little bunny :winky: In addition, by then I may have even found a Lexus to go with all my knowledge
  2. Ok guys Thanks for the swift replys that has put my mind at rest the dealer did say it was ok but i feel a lot better now that you have all said the same thing :D So thats one for the short list Got two more to view over the weekend so hopefully i shall soon be a lexus OWNER Even if it will mean much bigger fuel bills :duh:
  3. Hi guys Just got back from viewing a IS 200 at a Lexus dealership now the car was 91 and in as new condition with only 28000 miles on the clock but when I had a look at the service book it had two stamps one for the 10000 mile service and one for the 20000 mile service and he said they would do the 30000 mile one before they sold it which was fine But now whilst the mileage was to within a thousand miles of where it should be the time between the first and second services is about 16 months now when I asked the salesman about this he said it was fine and that you can chose to have it done either every 12 months or every 10000 miles I thought you had to have it done every 12 months or 10000 miles whichever came first or am I wrong As the general impression I get from this site is that the service history is very very important when you come to sell the car on so I don’t want to get it wrong right from the start
  4. Hi Just thought I would say hello to you all I joined your club about a week ago and have spent most of the time since then just reading the old posts. I must say you all seem a very knowledgeable and very friendly bunch and from what I have read so far I think I have made the right choice to buy a Lexus. Unfortunately funds don’t allow me to buy a brand new one so it will have to be a second hand Is 200 please feel free to offer any advice on my impending purchase you may think will be of help to me At the moment I drive an Audi A4 1.9 TDI which has been a great car and very economical getting about 50 to the gallon out of her :D Which brings me to my first real question what mpg can I expect from an Is 200 as I know what it says on paper can be very different to what you get in real life everyday driving. Secondly Is there any advantage in having a Sport rather than the SE as my insurance wants an extra £67 premium for the SE and £120 extra for the sport not only that but the excess goes up from £100 on the SE to £150 for the sport so is it worth the extra expense now I know that’s not a lot of difference but I don’t think there is much of a difference between the cars (but hey what do i know) so your views would be very welcome Ok well that’s all for now I look forward to reading your replies
