Before I head off to the £££ dealer, does anyone recognise these symptoms?
!997 ® LS400 118k miles bought 6 months ago with two owners & full Lexus history.
Only when setting off on a non-stop, i.e. motorway journey, at a point between 2 & 15 miles, with engine usually fully warmed up, speed 50-70 mph, a strong vibration begins from under the car accompanied by a fairly loud and constant noise. This lasts for between 1 & 3 minutes then goes away, never to be repeated on the same day - i.e. only when starting completely from cold and after the car has been sitting for a day or two at least.
It is intermittent - doesn't happen every time but is clearly worrying!
Any help appreciated.
