    Apologies to anyone who has this but all these new Lexus look like they have bilateral cleft lip. Why the 500 moniker? Lexus could have made it at least 500hp, if they wanted to use that number, the M5 has 575hp. LC (Elsie)? Apart from that, not bad. B)

    I was just wondering if anyone on here had kept their Lexus IS200 from new for over 15 years. Got mine Jan '00 and to be honest I've had a lot of trouble with it coming from several Honda Accords. One day I'll compile everything but seriously congratulations getting to 300k, mines only 125k.

    Right, thanks, will check those. Sometimes it idles at 300 rpm which is impressive but often dies which is potentially dangerous.

    On a year 2000 IS200, the idle speed goes too low at 300rpm and then the engine stalls, especially annoying when coming to a stop at a junction. Is there an adjustment to increase the idle to 600rpm or similar? I read about inserting a washer years ago but I can't find it now. Any other method considered. Thanks.

    Ah, thanks for that info. It was just a quick question on what wattage is needed, 1.5W, 2.4W or 4.8W for trickle charging from a dashboard panel.

    Just a quick note, that a local garage helped me out with a couple of dabs of rubbing compound G3 and much elbow grease and water did the job. :)

    Just noticed the headlights of my IS200 (2000) have started to go a little cloudy. They feel a little tacky to the touch. I've tried Jif and a variety of kitchen cleaners but no use. Anybody have a similar problem and cured it? TIA.

    Wonder if you'll see it driven around locally? Whenever I park in a car park it get some new dents. (My IS200SE auto gets about 29mpg)
