  1. give Chris S a pm if you give him the frame number of the car he will be able to give you the part number
  2. Think he means the speedo cluster it's self think theres 3 screws in the speedo suround you will need to remove and another 3 holding the cluster in place, once these are removed you will be able to lift the speedo out to check the wiring loom and plugs
  3. you may wanna keep your eye on ebay Item number: 150237004870 just type in altezza if not
  4. I'll keep my eye out next time I'm that way
  5. Sorry can't help mate you could try asking in the IS200 forum as the streering mechanics are the same as the Tezza, you may get a bit more help Off topic where about in somerset are you I've seen a Blue Tezza near Taunton, parked up at a pud just off the junction 25 ??? not you is it ???
  6. as the title says TRD altezza flywheel and stock flywheel for sale in buy and sell section link to thread
  7. I've got the Blitz SUS kit fitted love it
  8. try prolex they do some nice carbon 1's
  9. there the same as on the IS200 so should be easy to find 1 or get some fancy carbon 1's
  10. Robin H

    Exhust

the IS200 has the same back box as the RS so it should make it a bit easier for you to find 1
  11. dunno about ecu's for autos you could try asking on tezzaworld.com if there's any tuned Auto's over there
  12. I've just found this thread and oh my good it's awsome Top work fella
  13. yeah I've had a full engine rebuild but with bells and whistles added ;) if your thinking of a rebuild there's a few people you could talk to Thor racing, prolex, TDI these should all be able to help it just depends on how far/crazy you want to go and how much money you have to spend at least if you talk to all 3 you will get a ruff idea of how much a rebuild could cost you take a bit of a risk when buying a 2nd hand engine off of someone, but if you know the history of the car it can't be bad, but I found a few dodge sellers on ebay, have a chat with some of the Irish boys on Tezzaworld as they may know of a right off you could use as a donor vehicle I thought about getting a MR2 turbo engine and dropping that in but wasn't sure how much of a problem it would be marrying up the gearbox and other bits
  14. how did you get on ??
  15. sorry to here the news as I've been in the same position as you here's a link to the thread I started about looking into a to swap or rebuild, it maybe of some help click all you need to have done is a compression test and that should tell you the answer you should have 11.5 in all cylinders if not there's a problem, if you down on compression you down on power and thats a fact you may not have noticed the power draining away but put it on a rolling road and you will find out how much you've lost there's a few things you can do swap the engine have the cylinders bored and fit over size piston rings have the bottom end rebuilt ( new bearings ect ect ) have a full rebuild no matter if you swap or rebuild you may will to replace the cam belt. so you want to think about all of the other things cam belt related, pump, tensioners ect ect keep us posted on how the 2nd opinion goes
  16. if you gonna boost it, do a proper job there's so much to think about there so much other stuff you will need to do once running boost just to get the car running at it's best if you want to a better 0-60 time on a NA set up I would do these mods IMO light weight flywheel: this will help the car rev easier change the final drive of the car. TRD do a 4.5 final drive kit that will be fine on an auto I think some of the earlier altezza's had a final drive of 4.1, and I think some of the later models had a 4.3 final drive you can do mods to the air intake system ie : performance panel filter or induction kit IMO the increase you will get will be about the same with both, but your car will raw with an induction kit ;) you can also look at sorting your exhaust system out, performance manifold, decat mid section and after market back box then some sort of management system could be a stand alone ecu or get a Camcon fitted these will all help with your 0-60 time
  17. Welcome nice tezza you've got there
  18. Robin H

    Tax

yep got the same thing aswell
  19. there a few topics on here about the difference between the editions as for a good price to pay it's what your happy paying for 1. The price will effect the condition. your find a lot of early Altezza's in the uk 98/99/00 not seen many younger 1's about Most will be the 5 speed auto but there are some 6 speed manuals about if you hunt for them
  20. I'm with Adrain Flux or you could try A plan both know about Toyota Altezza RS200's ;)
  21. as a bit of a ruff guide you could say that RWD cars lose 20% of it's power through transmission so if you multiply you reading at the hubs by 1.2 you will come up with 195.6 bhp at the crank to be honest the only way you can find the true power of the engine is to take it out and bench test it but it in the car and rolling road it,
