Well, the guy from the AA left the rad cap off and pressed the accelerator and water squirted out....he said there is a pressure biuld up which indicates head gasket has gone apparently!

Hi I've got a 1999 IS200 Auto with working navigation. Recently, the radiator started leaking and my wife drove it with no water!! Got the AA man round who filled the radiator and pressed the accelerator and water squirted out of the rad.....he told me the head gasket had gone!!! I want to get rid of the car now but needs new head gasket and rad.....car has done 145000 miles, no MOT and tax runs out at end of the month.....how much do you guys think it is worth???? Any advice much appreciated Cheers Ali

Hi I am getting 2 different types of noises from the front of my is200: A rattling noise when i go over bumps and a creaking noise when i turn left or right.....any ideas??? any help much appreciated Thanks

Hi Ive just bought some secondhand fog lights for my is200 AUTO.....the previous ones rusted due to leakage of water inside them......from what i understand, the 1999 auto model was fitted with vented wheel arch plastic that allowed leakage of water into the fogs. Can anyone advise me on what i should do to stop the sam happening again thanks

Hi I have an IS200, 1999. For the last 2 days, whenever i turn right there is a creaking which seems to be coming from somewhere around the left wheel. Can anyone help please? Thanks

Thanks guys.....the old saying...if it sounds too good to be tru......!! I've heard a few people mention IK20 spark plugs.....do they make a difference? Basically I've got around £200 to spend.....i'm not looking for major improvements......i have an is200 auto and the pick up from zero is poor.

Hi My front fogs are not working.....water in them and rusted.....can i just replace fogs or do i need to change bumper aswell? I was told by someone that not possible to just replace fogs. Is there a 'walk thru' thread anywhere? Looked on ebay for front fogs....none! Anyone got any for sale? Thanks

Changed the misfiring coil today (thanks Adie!), car seems to be driving fine at the mo......fingers crossed it remains so! Will keep an eye on consumption.....added bonus if reduces consumption too! -

Hi Guys, just got back of hols and changed one of the coil packs that needed to be changed. Engine seems to be running ok now but the 'engine management' sign is still on, although not flashing, and the 'TRC' light is flashing. I need to make a 100 mile round trip today so slightly concerned....any advise please? Ali
