  1. So your issue is the media link to his death then? So what's to "cover up"? And if I put myself in "no man's land" between the police and a mob and got a baton on the back of my leg and pushed out of the way, I would say what an idiot for getting there in the first place. It all kicked off about 5 hours before FFS.
  2. WTF is all this about guys, put the toys back in the pram.
  3. He was "ambling along", in front of a line of coppers obviously moving forward, with his hands in his pockets. In that situation he is being obstructive and antagonistic to the police. He got a push out of the way, if they battered him with batons I would say well out of order.
  4. More car stuff for me Mrs Mac's Lex in for MOT next week. Forecast is rain here so no chance of a cold beer in the garden.
  5. Didn't see it that way. What's clear? The police killed him? When the whole of London knew that there would be a few aholes causing trouble in the city why did he choose to walk home towards the trouble? He died of a heart attack, simple. And you want to blame that on a copper who had been dealing with scum for the last 6 hours. Get a life!
  6. I had new screen fitted yesterday for the Tezza and needed it in a hurry for the MOT. Went to the usual big boys you would think of, Auto Windscreens and Auto Glass. Get though to a helpful person at the call centre in both cases and they as for the reg. "No good to you as the car is an import" says me, "it is the same as an IS200" they still want the reg and surprise surprise it's not on the data base. So back to IS200, then insurance details, how much is the excess? address etc etc. Then sorry we don't have any in stock it will be 2-3 working days! It's an IS200 FFS not a Veyron, not like that rare. Anyway tried AVG next (I'd never heard of them), no problem in stock and when do you want it fitted. Did a tidy job and it is a genuine Lexus one as well.
  7. Latest on my saga. Stripped the dash on the drivers side and removed every box and connector I could see and checked the connectors all looked OK and it was dry. Took out the speedo cluster nada there. Removed the drivers side fuse box and checked everything including the relays and same as above. MOT 2 weeks away and the clock ticking, no horn no MOT! Moved onto passenger side fuse box last weekend working around all the plastic trim inside car off the dash on the drivers side! Immediately found some corroded pins on the first connector that I pulled off, took the box out and found a few more. Cleaned them all up. Took the passenger seat out to get easier access and worked on the plugs, cleaned them all up, blasted a hair drier around the connectors and general area on the fuse box and plugged up the box. Bingo all working again, he typed touching wood Took the car in for MOT on Wednesday and it failed on a cracked screen on the drivers side. Got a new one fitted yesterday, the fitter showed me the passenger side A pillar after he took the old screen out, you could see that the last screen had not bonded down the entire length! No wonder the bloody thing was leaking. Anyway, fingers crossed ................................... :shutit:
  8. Credit (pun intended) to d2carazy What is the difference between a banker and a bank robber? One wears a balaclava! How do you know an optimistic banker? He irons five shirts on a Sunday evening! Definition of a nervous wreck: a man who has a house payment, a car payment, a wife and a girlfriend.... and they're all a month late! Did you hear in Kerry they think the Credit Crunch is a new breakfast cereal! The Americans have Barack Obama, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Stevie Wonder. We have Brian Cowen, No Cash, No Hope and No Bloody Wonder! The credit crunch has helped me get back on my feet. The cars been repossessed. Recession is worse than divorce, you lose half your fortune but you're still married.
  9. Then you get to the end with a nut, spring washer, tab washer and bent split pin left over Nothing better than getting a "box of bits", putting it back together, crank it over and hey it runs! What more satisfaction does anyone need?
  10. Hi and welcome to LOC. Chassis, suspension brakes etc are easy, same as IS200/300.
  11. Gen 4 3SGE has 11:1 compression ratio so basically no space for valves out of sync. HERE is the Mr Singh thread when his went, not happy reading. Brace yourself Noel, fear the worst and hopefully it will be better mate.
  12. Afraid it is interference mate, you are most likely looking at bent valves etc. I remember the hassle Am (Mr Singh) had a couple of years back when his broke
  13. As Stevie said, what are these warts on the bum of your lex supposed to do?
  14. £1600, have they got an Olympic sized, outdoor heated pool!
  15. Sellers are not allowed to leave negative feedback anymore! This is supposedly to enable buyers to leave negative feedback without fear of getting neg feedback as a result WTF.
