  1. These lights also come on with some ODB readers. You can reset the lights, I shall dig out the process for you.
  2. I too have the same bee sting aerial and they are on all the mk2 GSs I was wondering the other day what it was for
  3. Any members off to Silverstone next weekend?
  4. It's not something I have heard of before and I am sure if it was a common fault it would have been on here before
  5. It's only worth doing if you put the miles in. If you are just pottering locally you won't get the savings in town as the MPG is not that good due to warm up times etc.
  6. Forgot to say we all love our cars and if we want them loud and brash or quiet and understated then that's fine by me, each to their own and all that.
  7. Well Mike Stokes Motorsports in Bournemouth have built me a custom stainless steel exhaust. This was a third of tHe price I had been quoted for a replacement exhaust and they did a superb job. The car is now back to its quiet understated self. As much as I did enjoy the V8 burble when it was blowing there is something special about its quiet efficient manner and I am glad it's replaced.
  8. I am sure you will enjoy this car and after a few months I am sure your wife will come to appreciate what a great car you have. Welcome to the LOC
  9. As the actress said to the Bishop, check the length

    Older SC's aren't
  11. Interesting some of he comments, rear leg room well it's not really supposed to have anyone in the back it's called a 2+2 as that lowers the insurance rating. My wife uses as a daily runaround and says the boot is bigger and easier then her A class she had before. Her mums mobility walker fits in the boot far easier than in my GS. I think it's a great car and it still turns heads as many people have never seen one. Living down in Sunny Bournemouth we get plenty of opportunity to get the roof down. JPJSavage, you are more than welcome to come south and take it for a spin
  12. My SC exhaust has started blowing and I have enjoyed the V8 burble, but it goes in for a SS custom made replacement using a Range Rover Sport rear box as that's only 20mm smaller than what's on there. So Thursday I will have it all fitted and they tell me it will be as quiet as it was before. It's also a third of the price Kwik fit wanted. Not that I was going to use them just they are near and I wanted to see where it was blowing from.

I have the Parrot Bluetooth kit fitted and it comes with the cables to connect a range of MP3 devices
  14. The rear fog light must only be on when there is poor visibility, think its something like less Han 100 meters. I know that on any new vehicles the switch itself must have 'prominent' illumination when it is on.
  15. I can do the 8th and am happy with West Bay. The following weekend would also be good for me
  16. Just shows how good LOC members are
  17. Look forward to seeing you on the roads of Dorset. Don't forget to put the pics up
  18. Any fixed TV needs a TV Licence, if the TV is portable (not what you have in the Beemer) then it wold be covered by a house licence. I have never heard of anyone being done for a car TV, but that's the law. As the detector vans only have a directional microphone and listen to what people are watching and then compare that address to the licence database not sure how they wold track a car and what address would go on the licence.
  19. Welcome to the club and maybe a few of us can bring our Lexus cars for the annual McLaren Staff Car show, went last year and really enjoyed the day.
  20. I have a set of SC430 wheels, no tyres if you are interested or did you want something different?
  21. This has been asked several times before and it's not easy at all.. The loom in the car is different to the Sat Nav version and I think there are issues around the amp etc. Don't think it's worth the effort. You can get a new head unit with Sat Nav and replace the existing unit and bypass the amp
  22. That's the bank holiday weekend so traffic heavy and full hotels
