  3. Hi, My 07 GS450h has Yokohamas on it (factory fitted) I was just wondering what everyone else had on thier 3rd gen GS, in particular I was wondering what the latest models come with - I have not been hearing good thinks about Yoko's and was just wondering what everyone thought thanks in advance
  4. Agree. That car will be sitting there for a while. I traded my 52 plate IS200 sport in with 50000 miles when i got my GS and the Lexus garage said they would put it straight into auction and that it would not sell on the forecourt. I reckon you wait it out if you can.
  5. Also everytime you change the tyre pressure to do you have to initialise the tyre pressure warning system (switch under the dash)? (ALOS my manual says 38psi back and 36psi front for tyre pressure)
  6. Hi - Just wondering what everyone had their psi at on their tyres. And whether its worth plumping them up a bit on a 450h due to the extra weight
  7. Just wondering if anyone had any tips on the new gen (05 onwards) GS's. I have a 450h and was just wondering if there were any cool tips or tricks or functionality in the car even. found this article quite interesitng for 450h users http://www.hybridcars.com/gas-saving-tips/...yota-prius.html
  8. Yep that has always confused me as well, hope I never need to find out! If the GS450h has no spacesaver, and it's not on runflats, what do you do if you get a puncture? Or even worse a blowout? Hmm, I'd probably want to put that on runflats if I had one...... Its getting quite common now for cars not to even have a space saver spare - mate has a astra vxr and that does not have one, the new cvics dont either they just have that spray. I think Beamers and minis dont have a space saver but they have run flats.
  9. Having just put a deposit down on a gs450h - Im a bit concerned about the lack of a space saver - does anyone know of any off the shelf products I could purchase that i coudl just put in the back (of the already small boot!)
  10. Hi guys, Thanks for your info put a deposit down on the 450h. Very refined a bit detached to drive but quick and refined. They were trying to sell me supaguard but i think ill do it myself ill see what i can find online - see if i can get a good package of everyhting i ned to protect the wheels and the body work. in celebration - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWdESkWpKvI
  11. Thanks guys - I really appreciate all the responses. I've driven the 300 I think I'm going to take the 450h for a drive tomorrow and see what its like - I have done a thesis of research on these bar driving the 450h - seems everyone who has a 450h reckons its worth the 7k difference (in this case) - given the low mileage as well this could be a factor. Shame it don't run on champagne! I guess my only other concern is reliability, I have an IS so know what Lexus is all about - but its ram packed with technology and I'm wanting to keep the car for a good 5 years.
  12. Hi, I currently own a is200 sport but Im pretty much going to buy a GS this week but am somewhat confused as to what to go for. Both cars are used choices are, both from a Lexus dealer: GS300SE-L 06 plate 15,500 miles (£25,500) Gs450hSE-L 56 plate 6,500 miles (£33,000) I was initially keen on the 300 but having thought about things I considering the hybrid - was just wondering if anyone has had both or thought deeply about a similar choice and made a decision. I've driven the 300 and liked it but I a just thinking long term if the hybrid will be a better choice given its more refined and may hold its value and possibly fuel savings. The dealer told me that road tax was only £15 cheaper a year with the hybrid! I appreciate this is quite a subjective question but I would appreciate any opinions. thanks in advance!
  13. The other alternative is a GS300 SE-L - probably 6 months older but is a bit more 'pimped' if you know what I mean has a few more toys and for a 29yr old thats childishly important if you know what I mean!
