The head mechanic in Charles hurst Toyota told me that the throttle cable on the IS200 was only there as a back up system and was never actually used. This was because of the "electronic throttle" being operated by motors and not cable. I would say that you are likely to damage your throttle motor by overriding it in this way. Then it will break and lights will appear on the dash!!!!! which you don't want. Just a though but I may be wrong. Oh........I hate the deley and unresponsiveness too so I am open to all suggestions if somebody figures this out!!!

I heard that they do but they aren't very good at it and are a bit of a nightmare to deal with. Apparently TDI are distrubutors for them but I didn't see anything about Lextasy on their site. Hope that helps man!!

Glad this thread was put up as I will be adjusting mine soon. But a little birdie told me that TIEN's don't drop the car as low as some other brands. Is this true? Oh and does anyone know where I can get a set of the C spanners to do this?

I'm from N.Ireland and the only people here who seem to have all the right equipment are Charles Hurst. The only thing is that you may have ask them if you can set it up the way you want as they will prob just take your car and make sure everything is straight etc then give you the car back cos they ain't exactly into modifying their cars.

Hello peeps!! I was speaking to a fella who is gonna make me a custom front mounted intercooler for the turbo conversion. I was also thinking of buying a C-west front bumper as seen on Lextasy website. I have a couple of questions. 1) Does the C-west bumber for the american is300 fit the UK is200? 2) If anyone has one of these bumpers could you please give me the measurements of the size of the centre mouth of the bumper (where the intercooler would sit, below the grill)? 3) Is Lextasy the only place I can get one of these bumpers or does somebody in the UK supply them? Top job man!!!! that looks class. That has just give me a touch of inspiration as I am going to get my car measured up for a custom intercooler this afternoon! If you paid enough for the I/C I would advise you come up with a fresh idea to protect it from the stones too.

It can be as fast as you want it to be!!!............if you have enough money. But I think the answer to your question is prob NO. It's even worse when you are used to having a supercharger and then the supercharger disapears!..........All for a good cause though TURBO!!!!!!!!!!!

The LHD will take a bit of getting used to. I wouldn't see the point in bringing one over cos there are so many other things you could do with the cash.

Similar thing happened to me about two weeks ago. The car was parked and when I went back out to the car there was a Rover 25 disgracefully parked infront of my car about 2 feet from the kirb and it was parked at a stupid angle too. I checked my front bumper and, whadda ya know!! scuffs on the corner. I left a note with two ten pence pieces inside saying the following. "here's 10p towards your driving test cos you obvoiusly haven't had it yet, and here's another 10p towards rear parking sensors cos you obviously f*cking need them you TW*T!!!!!" About 1/2 hour later I got a phone call from my sister saying that an OAP had just spent 10-15 mins trying to get into the car before even trying to drive. I felt guilty for all of about 3 seconds as a realised that if somebody is that bad at driving no matter who they are.....THEY SHOULDN'T BE ON THE ROAD IN THE FIRST PLACE rant over!

I'll be running 400 bhp with my 1g-fe soon..........steel rods/forged pistons t28 turbo..........ported head.........and 100 shoy of NOS will see how the box does got 2 spares :D ← Go on ahead there Dave!!! Hope you keep me informed on that one as you know I will hopefully be going for that setup next year.

I've got one of those Alpine CDA 9855r's in the house waitin to go in when I build the boot install. The quality of these head units is top notch. The glide bar is a nice touch too although haven't used it yet Also just got the facia adaptor plate which is like a bloody mechano set in the box. I'll put a few pics up when it is in to see if I can change your mind :P

Need a bit of help on this one. I recently removed the TTE s/c from my car and sent it off to the person who bought it. I have got an e-mail saying that a part was missing. It looks like the piggyback unit for the ecu but as I have never actually seen one before I don't know for sure. I definately did send the small black box that was wired into the fuse box at the front of the engine bay, but I think this part is seperate again. Here is a pic of the part that is said to be missing (marked), but I did notice that the part that I have sent is also in the pic. My car seems to be running fine as standard which I didn't think would happen if the piggyback unit was still there. Help on this would be greatly appreciated as I want to make sure this person has all the parts. Thanks.

How cool are those things!!! There's a fair bit of money to be made from them. They are prob really cheap to build and you sell them for plenty!!! :D Think I might redesign one and call it the gsportfly.
