Well, after three happy years of having a Lexus I am now going to trade in my is250 for a Audi S4, mostly because I would like some more power and with the lack of IS350 in europe, I have to look at other brands. I have enjoyed my Lexus ownership which has been totally trouble free and superb support from forums and dealerships. I will hopefully be back when the IS is bound for a new model :) I have 30 more days before the switch, so I will enjoy that time and after that I am quite sure I will enjoy the V8 :)

It's been road tested in the US and also at the Nurburgring, and you can find videos of both on utube. There is a press test drive day slated right about the end of the 3rd quarter of this year in the US, not heard anything for Europe apart from a rumour that only 150 are destined for the UK. Also that only 1000 to be released in the USA. Cheers Tango. The problem is that you don't have winter tyres. I had no problems with the is250 in the snow so far. So instead of thinking of chains, socks and just running on second gear, spend some money on tyres, it is worth it.

I owned my IS250 Sport since March 2006 now, and have not had a single problem at all. Also I don't think the dealers makes a fortune on warranty work... isn't warranty work free of charge?

Comparing the 460 to the IS-F is just wrong :P Look at the 350, it seems to be a bit faster 0-60 than the official figures from Lexus.

It is a GPS problem, a qucik stop at your dealer and it will be sorted.

Thanks pal :) PS has anyone actually used " Im hungry" command and been correctly told of restaurants nearby ? I have also now tried the " nearest fast food" command several times in different locations and still get NONE - seems a complete waste of time to me - very disappointed i think that mode is for the Americans Works in sweden .. :) I used it a few times.

On the light switch there is a mode called auto, set it to that and the lights will come on at start, turn off when you park and leave your car.

One thing that comes standard on all the new IS models whether its petrol/diesel/sport/se/sel - u guessed it..Rattles! You cant take that away, its company inbuilt. I clocked 10000 miles on my SEL and it had rattles from day one. I eventually traded in and got the Sport version (Apr 06). Its lot better though, but still rattles every morning - reminding me of Gill, Steve, Andy, Mike and the list goes on.... I do not think that Lexus has solved this problem, they promise every new customer that its rattle free. That said, I am happy with the car and have learnt to live with it.....Lesson 1 - Never buy a car (new model), even if its a Lexus! For the records/survey - yes, my SEL had severe rattles. The Sport is much better with minor rattles. Javeed No rattles for me either.

The American models have the tyre pressure warning system. I wouldn't be suprised if eveything is already in place and it just needs activating plus the sensors for the wheels. And it seems to be a lot of problems with it. False alarms and such.

They should wash your car, and the loaner are also supposed to be free.
