  1. I was told no discounts on 400 but was given 4.5% discount on 300. Admittedly they want to screw me on trade in value on my existing bmw, so may have to sell that seperately though to get the best prices.
  2. What level of discount do you think is achieveable on a brand new RX300 SE with Sat Nav? One of the cheap websites quote a discount of £3000 but then when they ring you up they say on Lexus they can only do 3%. Anyone have ideas as to how hard the dealers can be pushed, and will different dealers do different discounts?
  3. Parking sensors should come as standard I guess. My father in law fitted them to his citreon himself but as soon as there is weight in the car they continually bleep! What an ididot!
  4. Sorry if thsi is a simple question, but does the basic RX300, and hence the basic RX400, have a reversing sensor or do you need the sat nav option with the video camera. If not then why are they not putting some form of sensor as standard?
  5. So if you had to choose a 400 or a 300 SE (don't like leather seats) then the verdict would be 400 as new, but only marginal differnce in performance? Cost slightly more to run 300 but that's about it. Not looking to save planet so all in all better specified 300 is best option?
  6. Should have mentioned that we want a big car with plenty of space and the wife wants to sit high up on the road. So options would be Volvo, X5, merc estate etc. I like the RX as it looks better than the rest and performance good. The weight to horse power is a bit of a leveller, but anything else that makes teh 400 the betetr option?
  7. Love the RX but just unsure which model to go for. The 400 is the unknown and still trying to get to grips with its advantages, slightly better fuel economy, more environmentally friendly, but £4-5k more expensive. Also concerned over residual values as teh 300 residuals I guess are pretty known, but the 400 while probably similar is likley to show some uncertainty over new concept and when the 400 is 3 years old, who knows what problems over hybrid may exist, although I am sure it will be fine. Should I go for a better 300 model or go for the 400 and if so why? Performance more important to me than fuel economy, otherwise would be going for a nasty diesel! Help please?
