I have also experienced a burning smell, especially after long journeys at 80mph+ or when I've been booting it. Smell does not enter the cabin but is obvious outside the vehicle after the journey.

I found this site by typing " Lexus upgrades" in to google. I was trying to find out if there is a cheap(ish) way to get more power out of my IS200 Sport as it is not as fast as I'd hoped. Any ideas?

My Lexus is 6 months old, no problems with 1st & 2nd gear but I get occasional resistance when shifting to 3rd, especially when changing quickly. Could this be the same problem? Sometimes it's ok though.
