  1. You know what I've noticed the Autocar mag appears to be biased towards BMW, some peeps are saying it's the best handling car ever and then you got autocar saying no feel. I'm not bothered, I just love it in the Matt Black with the red touches e.g interior ans calipers etc, I think the front doesn't look smooth in the white but perfect all around in the Matt Black. I wonder what other colour options there will be? Oh and did you know for all 500 that are built, they engine will be built personally by one dedicated engineer team, he's gonna be real busy if they do shift the 20 a month target. But yeah, personally built, wow
  2. Try and stop me now if you can. Check this video, I think the matt black one looks way better, but this thing even has a lap timer option, the dial display is amazing! http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/20/video-l...ling/#continued
  3. I prefer this colour, NOW PLEASE PLEASE LEXUS, make sure you make this matt black colour availble to buy, as this looks awesome with the red brake lights! http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/lexus-lf-a-in-miami/#7
  4. Hey, it's here finally. Check the link out below, view all 3 pages and you get to see the Interior which is amazing. WOW, Lexus have kicked some serious butt with this, I read alot of reporters have said this is possibily the best car they have ever driven, I don't like it so much in white but the black or darker colours for me will look eveb better. From this so far, WHAT A CAR!!!! http://www.netcarshow.com/lexus/2011-lfa/
  5. Yep I heard about this also, I put up a poll on here a while back and it was a landslide win for the blue to be available in the UK, can't wait.
  6. Found some more pics, lots of different angles, check out the top right pics. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars...a-supercar.aspx
  7. Thanks for chiming in all. I think that Matt Balck looks awesome, imagine that coming down the road with HID lights? I think they should def have this as a colour option.
  8. Come on peeps, 7 visits and only one vote. Lets hear your votes
  9. Well, we have been seeing concept designs, prototypes and then testing at the Nurburgring. It has been nearly 5 whole years that we have been hearing rumours of a Lexus ‘Super Car’ to head up the ‘F’ division. Well I believe next month we will see the actual production version, followed by a sports version with a wider kit and some other extras, so there will be two versions of the car, road and the sports version available for the road based on the one that raced at the Nurburgring and Goodwood (the one with the Team Gazoo Racing livery). Below is a link of what is the closest version to the actual road version that will be launched next month at the Frankfurt motor show, I can’t imagine it being much different than this, from all the road test that various journalists etc have done, everyone is very, very impressed with the LF A/LF L whatever they decide to call it, the handling, power everything, they say this is going to have the stiffest (in a good way) body due to the design and use of a certain composite material therefore the handling and cornering is “amazing” the closest to an F1 car ….they say? I wanted to get your views on its looks, what do you all think, please vote after viewing the picture link below: http://www.vicky.in/international/2009/09/...-lf-a-supercar/
  10. Yeh i loved my old V6 but this is just amazing. Makes you have a bit of a lead foot though I love that blue colour too and i would have been very tempted to go for it but all the cars iv had so far have been blue so i had to make a change. White was my top choice but they seem to hold more value and i wasnt prepared to pay as much. But now i have my grey one i think it was the right colour to go for. It has turned a few heads for sure. I was sat at the local crossroad light a few days ago and there was a girl in the passenger seat slyly pointing at it and i could read her lips saying to her boyfriend 'what is that car?' and then she gave a raised eyebrow and looked at it a bit further and then down at the wheels and then turned her lip up at them I guess someone has got to not like them though... strange girl! I also thrashed a seat ibiza cupra on some dual carriageway and the driver caught me at the roundabout (when i slowed right down for him ) and just gave me the thumbs up and a huge smile Iv not had chance to go past many mercs etc yet but i cant wait to. I just cant wait to surprise an M3 owner ;) Good work man. Well that Blue colour, for some crazy reason is not available in Europe, absoloutley madness, I done a poll on here a while back asking if the Blue should be made available for UK/Europe customers and it was a landslide in favour of Yes, I don't know why Lexus work like this it's stupid, they could have launched that Blue as the house colour for F and have it has as limited number, so you have an limited edition within a limited edition if that makes sense and charged more for it???? I think that girl was jelous mate and probably wanted to be sat in your seat or the one next to you, lol You have to post your expreience and feedback when you come up to a Merc or BMW owners especailly the 'Surprise M3' lol What do you reckon yours will be worth in about 18 months time? I didnt know that about the blue. Its really strange though as even the ISF brochure i got from the dealership shows a blue one on the front and back covers. Gorgeous colour. To be honest im not too fussed whats its worth as i will be keeping this car for some considerable time. I paid 37k for it with 22k miles on the clock Worth it though :winky: No doubt, the only reason I'm asking what it will be worth in 18 months time is so that I can buy it of you, lol. I'm looking to get one in about 18 months, if things work out, maybe 24 months, but that's my next car IS F!!!!

  12. Very nice indeed, that first shot looks awesome. The colour chioce for me would be the Ultrasonic Blue or that one, Cardaxton Slate, very nice. Now, be honest: 1.) How many heads does it turn? 2.) Have you had any people come up to you and ask about it? 3.) Have you had any comments, looks etc from BMW, Merc and/or Audi owners? Thanks and well done
  13. I did buy it from a Lexus dealer, and it seems they contract their valeting out to a Polish guy. I explained all of the points I mentioned above, plus the fact that there were loads of tar spots I had to remove. I'm not too bothered about the cleanliness aspect, as I enjoyed cleaning it and sorting these things out. The wheels however are a different matter. The dealership say they will get back to me at the end of the week about resolving it. They assure me they will sort it out and I have no doubt they will. I think they are going to try and recover the cost from the valet. I don't find the ride too bumpy at all. In fact, I'd say it's far softer than the M3 for my old bones!! I'm just waiting for the buyer to arrive for the M3. He's not seen it yet in the flesh but is on a train from 220 miles away clutching a bank draft!! I'm sure they will sort the wheels. What was/is the M3 buyers view on the IS F, no doubt he will see it when he picks up the M3? I remember when one of the dealers had an IS F in the dealership for pre-booked test runs etc, I can recall there were a couple of guys (M3 owner(s)) and they couldn't stop drooling over the F, I don't think any pics does it justice, when you see it in the flesh, as you well know, it looks amazing., allthough I have seen one in the silver colour and it doesn't look that nice in silver for some reason, but white, C Slate, Red, Black and the Blue work very well. How much do you reckon they will be worth in about 18 months time?
  14. I am very happy with it! I've ploughed through the two instruction manuals. All in all, about 800 pages. The English translation is a bit suspect in places. Everyone who's seen it up to now have preferred it to the M3. My neighbour thinks the M3 looks very dated compared to the Lexus, which I'd suppose it would as it's the previous model. I spent a few hours cleaning it yesterday as it was not valeted properly when I picked it up. There was chocolate in the passenger seat perforations, a small blue paint scrape on the rear bumper and quite a few tar spots. I have sorted all of that out. However, I'm not happy with the wheels. The n/s rear has been kerbed and the two fronts have been 'cleaned' with an abrasive scourer of some sort and removed the shine from the inside rims between the struts and left them with a flat scratched effect. I'm waiting for a call back from Lexus to discuss. If you have bought that from a Lex dealer, then I'm sorry but that's just not acceptable. One of the most eagerly anticipated cars in a long time and they can’t even get the valet done properly, but no doubt they will sort it for you, but you shouldn’t have to go back. Is the ride really bumpy on the pot-holed roads?? I mean that’s the only downside that I’ve read about???
  15. Very very nice, no doubt you're well happy with it. Just out of intrigue, what's your neighbours and freinds take on it compared with the M3, what's their reaction?
  16. Well, I have had two E36 M3s and two E46 M3s. However, I really don't like the design of the new one so thought I'd go for a C63 AMG or the IS-F. Then I decided the C63 is a bit too hard core for me and also more expensive. That left the IS-F and I've been looking for one for a while. Being a lazy car buyer, I can't be arsed to travel too far, so when this one came up locally, I was straight over there. With Cadaxton Slate, the salesman told me they don't look as good because there is no contrast between the interior and exterior. A personal choice I guess but the white and black together look fabulous. Chris I think the C63 AMG looks nice aswell, but I would go for IS F anyday. Well talk about exclusive, you know how many heads you will turn with that, trust me when I saw one in the flesh it just looked awesome.
  17. Welcome to LOC. Very pleased for you man. An IS F is going to be my next car, if I can’t get it in the Ultra Blue, then I’ve finally decided to settle with the Cardaxton Grey or whatever they call it. So from M3 to IS F, I like it. Just out of curiousity why the switch?
  18. Found this today 175mph weapon to catch criminals Tuesday, July 07, 2009, 06:3045 readers have commented on this story. Click here to read their views. IT may be an unassuming four-door saloon, but criminals should think twice before trying to out-run this police car. Humberside Police's vehicle crime unit has taken delivery of a new Lexus, a brand more associated with company executives than crime-fighters. But this £40,000, 420hp super-car, boasts a five-litre V8 engine and goes from 0mph to 62mph in under 4.5 seconds. The Lexus IS-F – which has been designed by specialist Japanese engineers and tested at the legendary Fuji Speedway in the foothills of Mount Fuji – can travel at exceptionally high speeds and has been restricted to 175mph for the force's use. The force is thought to be the world's first to use the IS-F, which has been kitted out with more than £30,000 of police equipment. It is the latest addition to the force's arsenal to tackle criminals who are increasingly using faster cars. Sergeant Mike Peck said: "There are criminals using the roads across not only Hull and the East Riding, but the wider Yorkshire region as well, and they have very fast cars at their disposal. "The IS-F has buckets of power and due to the size of the engine is quite happy cruising at over 100mph – when other smaller engined cars may be pushing their limits. "The 0-62mph speed is really the important bit of the performance. It is almost as quick from 60 to 120. Very few cars on the road get anywhere near this, apart from a few Ferraris." The car, which comes with an eight-speed gearbox, was purchased last year but has spent several months at an electrical specialists in Walsall to have the vast array of equipment fitted. Despite the addition of several computer systems, which give officers access to the same systems in the car as an officer has at his desk, no performance has been lost. Steve Kelly, the principal dealer for Lexus Hull in Saxon Way, Priory Park, Hessle, said the vehicle's performance was impressive. He said: "Not only is the 0-60 blistering, but the mid-range acceleration is phenomenal." The force's vehicle crime team, which was formed just over four years ago, has seen almost 2,000 people convicted.
  19. Brake dust is an issue for me with my IS 300, the two fronts wheels are just covered thick in brake dust after a week. But if your wheels are begining to rust as a result, then that's not acceptable at all, I mean they have given you 'new' wheels which is great but surely you will be in this same position again 12 months from now??
  20. I did the same upgrade about nearly a year ago I think, and the increase was approx £180 - £200, but overall it's less than £1000
  21. All I know is, if that's what it's going to look like, then WOW, I love those alloys aswell. I tell you what, Lexus should seriosilly consider making a few in Matt Black finish, Imagine that pulling up next to you...AWESOME. I hope they keep the alloys, in fact not change a thing now, and then with that performace, looks and Lexus luxury what can anyone say... and F badges as the finishing touch.
  22. Just comr across this link. As you can see this could be the production version, very very very nice.................. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpr...a_opens_up.html
  23. Yep I think it must be a tax or reporting issue too........ Otherwise it does benefit them to distance themselves from Toyota, to truly compete with BMW, Mercedes and others they need to lose the "posh toyota" image........especially now that they seem to be charging more than the others I fully agree, Lexus models straight out the showroom are more expensive these days than the BMW and Merc equivilants. I fully agree they need huge distance, It's abit like Ferrari and Fiat, we know they are owned by Fiat but they have complete seperate identity, even though once when I went in an F355 Spider (as a pasenger) I noticed the interior air vents were exactly the same as the one's in my (now sold a long time ago) MK 2 1990 Fiat Uno Turbo!!
  24. I think this is a very bad move. The powers that be have being trying to create a sepreate identity between Lexus and Toyota and if they decide to make this long term, then it would be a bad move. In order to compete sucessfully with Merc and BMW my direction would be to have completly seperate identity. I rang up one of the local dealerships just to see what they say when they answer the phone, and at the moment they answered as Lexus, but I get the feeling if this move is made long term then they will answer "Toyota, Lexus Division" in my eyes that would be very bad!! Still want an IS F though.
