  1. Thanks for the info guys. The Matrix system looks very advanced and should be worth the effort, but i may stick with a concept system, like the 600. Im happy with my current system on my current car and as you say, ive never had a false alarm in over 2 years. Im not keen on taking my IS apart to install it myself, but theres a Clifford Shop round the corner from me who does everyones car in the hood, so should be ok to ask them to fit it... ive even seen a bentley out there once! Im gonna look into the matrix system a bit more before i decide, cos if its a more advanced then it makes sense getting that fitted. Intellistart rocks dont it?! The number of people ive left baffed in car parks, outside my house... my neighbour knocked on the door once and said, hey you forgot car running! I started it to let the aircon cool the inside before my journey!
  2. LOL! The huge Cliffors stickers are usually put on there by boy racers to send a signal out to thieves that they aint getting their car! Ive seen the result of a proffesional thief trying to steal a Cliffor armed car. Lets just say he gave up and just took a playstation pad from the boot. Oh and the BlackJax anti-carjack module, the best thing ever! Proximity sensors, digital tilt sensors (detects the car being lifted more than an ich of the ground (deters wheel theft)), together with other modules, BlackJax, etc the - clifford is probably the best you can get. Toad do good ones too, might i add. I think i will get a top of the range Clifford then, cos the standard one doesnt offer the features i need. Thanks for your comments guys! Oh and anybody know where to get a replacement housing for the audio unit, so that i can install two DIN sized Alpine units? Thanks!
  3. I know they have decent standard security, but Clifford and even the Millennium Max 2 Way Alarm have the handy remote start. I also really like the idea of the Millennium Max 2 Way Alarm because of the LCD remote which shows you which part of the car has been triggered. Not only that, but systems like the clifford let you open/close windows to vent the car, all from the comfort of your home and when the battery is low it starts the car to help it and shuts down again. (can be disabled if you like) Little extra features such as these is why i want to change the security. Tracker is very good too, that is also going to be installed.
  4. I currently deciding on which security to install on my IS300. My options: 1. Clifford Avantguard OR Clifford Matrix (import from USA, newest system). 2. Millennium Max 2 Way Alarm Starter System see: http://www.virtualalarms.com/millSFMax2.html 3. A recommendation by anyone satisfied with their non-standard alarm. Ive already got Clifford Concept 600 (with remote engine start) on my current car (Celica), but wondered if anyone knows how good the second alarm above is, cos the price puts me off... simply cos im not sure how it can be so cheap and give ALL those features, like the two-way communitaion! But if its legit and secure, i will get that! anyone post their views please!
  5. Thanks for your reply superchargedIS200. Your information has been useful. But since you already have the supercharger, in your opinion, is it better to have the IS200 with supercharger or an IS300 standard?! I mean im guessing its the IS200 with supercharger, simply because of that engine sound! I will be spending alot of time on my Lexus when its delivered and even going to get 20" alloys on it, no matter how much work is involved! but... if i fail then i guess 19"s will do! Keep up the Lexus modifications lads!
  6. Hello everyone! Please forgive me if these questions have been asked hundreds of times, but i only just stumbled accross the teamlexus site and thought i would post my first message. I want to buy a Lexus IS300, but only if the TTE Supercharger can be fitted to it, if not then maybe i will get the IS200 instead. I would appreciate any websites or links to where the supercharger can be fitted - price even!, also if anyone knows of any UK located parts companies who do exhausts, lower springs, and all body and performance parts. If not UK companies, then maybe links or recommendations to companies who ship to the UK and are known to be reliable. Im 22, and have had a Celica since i was 17 (bought it new). Ive evnjoyed modifying it slowly over the last five years, have thousands of pounds of sound and entertainment system in there, league alloys, etc - but im new to Lexus and want to buy an IS200 or 300 (not sportscross) so would love any information passed my way. Many thanks everyone! By the way: respect to superchargedIS200 (Mat, i believe?!) Your IS looks and sounds off tha hook!
