I did an attempt to search for a topic regarding this, but could not find something specific. 2007 IS220D -> My rear view camera is broken, sort of. It does not adjust well to light. So much so that it is completely useless in broad daylight, but will function well in a parking garage. Additionally it is very grainy, so it can be very difficult to see what is going on, even when the lighting is correct. I tried finding a used one in Norway, but could not find any. I could buy a used one from abroad, but if buying from abroad i'd much rather buy a new one, OEM or not. Byung through Lexus is not an option, i was quoted £1000+ for the part alone, can't remember the value specifically. Has anyone bought a camera from a source, and have it work? I don't trust my skill in finding (good) sellers on aliexpress, ebay or similar.

My IS300h came with a reversing camera but not having used them before I had front and rear sensors fitted. In practice, when reversing I still use mirrors and sensors to see where I am going with maybe a glance at the camera picture for confirmation of position. I find it hard to stare forwards at the small screen whilst going backwards! Does anyone else have this problem? Is it better to mostly ignore it and do it the "old fashioned" way? Do I just need practice/confidence? Any thoughts; suggestions etc.?

I have just bought the CT200h Executive 2016 with built in Sat Nav and reversing camera and I also subscribe to Pocketworld GPS for Safety Camera updates which can be downloaded in many formats including Tom Tom OV2. Is there any way of updating speed camera location - The link shows an image of the Map Data which may or may not be helpful https://photos.app.goo.gl/NKcaHnD3VhYJ6Wpw1 I also thought the Sat Nav software was on a Micro SD Card but as yet have not managed to find a slot - any ideas ? Any help would be appreciated and ease the frustration.

For the 6th time since last November, our car has been the victim of a hit and run. My wife works part time at a local medical centre and has no choice but to use a local public car park that is used by visitors to both the medical centre and the local library. Unfortunately, the spaces are rather narrow, our RX is rather wide, and the locals generally very elderly.... not a good combination. The fact that there is no CCTV does not help. So since November, when my wife started working there, there have been nasty scratches and dents twice to the front bumper and once to the rear (repaired at a cost of £450 + £250), and alongside BOTH sides of the car (not yet fixed, but it will be £100's!). One very obvious one along the front AND rear doors on the drivers side, the other on the passenger's side. PICS to come. Yesterday, it happened again, although FOR THE FIRST TIME the culprit was kind enough to leave his details. The corner of the front bumper is damaged where it had been repaired before, which means that a replacement rather than a second repair may be required (other driver's insurance will pay this time). I have never been keen on witness cameras, but I am now forced to consider them. I do not want any DIY solution (the thought of any DIY scares me!), and I would prefer a fully installed solution. Recommendations anyone? Recurring car park dings are one of the reasons I will not be replacing this RX3 with a RX4, but downsize to an NX.

My 2005 Lexus RX 300 after being involved in a front nearside accident came back from the repairers with a fault on the reversing camera. When reverse is selected the camera screen shows the rear view from the car Minus the parking guide lines, also displayed on the screen is "system not ready". this has been back to Lexus Bristol where they say they cant find a fault everything seems OK when it obliviously isn,t. anyone with any ideas what the fault is? I've done google and looked through the settings diagnostics menu picked the camera setting, it says speed signal ok, coloured in blue, the center steering button is shown in black, and i cant seem to get this to go blue ? and also the max steering angle? how are these set ?? I think they need setting before proceeding to the setting of the parking guide lines in the next section?

Hi there, just bought a new CT Advance Plus and wondered if its possible to connect a reversing camera into the AV channel on the sat nav screen? Think it would look better than the after market rear mirror type. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Dear all, for a while now I wanted to install a 4ch DVR in the car, and connect the existing reversing camera, and the camera in the left mirror, as well as add a new camera installed on the rear view mirror, and possibly one looking at the right side of the car. Whilst adding new cameras and installing the DVR is not a problem, I was wondering if anyone tried interfacing with the existing cameras? are they analogue, compost - or some proprietary format? Many thanks, Paul

Hi, my reversing camera has died, I was thinking of replacing it with a cheap / non lexus part. At the boot to camera connector, there are 4 wires (2 black, 1 red, 1 white). I have tested the connectors with a voltmeter, but can't find a voltage at all. I am running the camera in diagnostic mode from the screen, when I select camera test, the screen turns white / grey, but I can't find a voltage at the camera. I'm assuming the red wire should be 12v ? If anyone has a wiring diagram or knows what the wires are, please let me know. I am worried about running the kids/dog over while reversing. The blind spot is huge. In case it matters, when the engine is running and I shift to reverse, the screen turns white/grey. I have seen on eBay people selling 2nd hand camera controllers, is there a way to know which part I need, or if its a wiring issue? Thanks
