Hi, I’m wanting to install a aftermarket mirror folding module for the front side mirrors on my 2010 GS 450h. The PO-40 module is one that’s been discussed on this site. If there are any others do let me know. I’ve seen lots on E-bay but have no idea if they are worth considering. I wanted to learn if I need one for each side mirror or just the one to control both and where it would be installed? Also, and most importantly does anyone have the original installation instructions they could copy and send to me? Many thanks for any help. Cheers.

Evening folks. I'm looking to get a black GS430 05-07 for £5000. I currently own a black GS450h (2007) and its in good condition. It does have a custom made exhaust, but it doesn't change the affect of the noise when driven. Just improves the fuel efficiency and performance. Tyres & Rear shock absorber recently fixed. 126,000 Mileage + If you know anyone that is selling one or looking to trade, please let me know.

Hello! I’m planning to buy a LHD Lexus Gs450h from 2008-2011. I like everything about this car and i know it is a reliable car like every Lexus but reading some of the topics on this forum it makes me step back a little. So i have the following questions: SHOCK ABSORBERS. Is the problem with the shock absorbers that bad as it people says? After the replacement of the shock absorbers with new OEM ones the oil leaking problem is solved for a longer period of time? I mean, this was a problem for just the factory absorbers and it got solved on the newer parts or the newer parts are the same? ACTIVE STABILIZER (APSSS): I saw an invoice on Mobile.de from a Gs450h owner that was including a part related to this system (STABI-ACTUATOR 48860-30040) and which costs 5600 euros at Lexus dealer that scares me a lot. Somebody on another forum is saying ,,There simply is no comparison between the GS 450h with APSSS and the other cars. The combination of the h's quick throttle response and the ability of the APSSS to reduce body roll makes it a blast to drive through these curves.” source: APSSS GS 450h Opinions.. What do you think about it, is it worth it or an eventual problem makes it not? HYBRID BATTERY: Im trying to find a car that has the battery replaced in a Toyota/Lexus service so i could extend it’s warranty by checking the hybrid system annually. I know that the bad cells can be replaced cheaper but i don’t think the repair could compare to a new battery. As they are pretty rare and expensive in Europe, would you take in consideration a RX400H? I’m not a big fan of it’s design actually but it’s much practical than the GS and i think cheaper to fix. Can anybody share his reliability experience with his Gs450h? Any other advices of what to check before buying a model like this? Do you know somebody who sell one? Thank you!

Hi guys so I’m getting a clunk click sort of noise every time I press the brake pedal. I initially thought it was the disc or pads as the disc were very rusty and in bad shape but after replacing both disc and pads the sound still exist. Anyone had the same issue and what is the solution? thanks in advanced

Hi guys happy to be apart of the club. very proud owner of 2013 GS 450H quality with great performance and handling what more can I want. It’s such a underrated car. so I’m just hoping if someone can shed some light on the start up sound as mine is quite loud for the first few seconds after starting it then it goes a bit quieter but not completely quiet like when it’s running only on the battery. is this normal on this model?? other than this the car runs and drive nice and smooth EV mode works fine and feels great to glide along the road. the car is a pleasure to drive and the engineering in this is so advanced and clever it’s unbelievable that I don’t see more of these on the road

I am considering buying a GS 450h but one thing puzzles me - why are some adverts, for instance on the Lexus used car website, listing the 450h as either 291 bhp, or 345 bhp. I can't see anything thats differentiates the cars except for the years, but even then that is not apparently the reason. Is this someone adding the electric motor output to the petrol engine output, and if so why would Lexus use two different output figures on their own site. Or, could some models have a factory bhp upgrade ? Parkman.

Crankshaft position p0017 and hybrid battery fault
tomostrio posted a topic in Engine & Transmission
Dear All My first time using the website , so hello. After reading a few blogs, the website seems to be really helpful and informative. So I hope someone can help or at least give me direction. I have a Lexus GS 450h, and whilst driving my engine management light came on, I took it to Lexus who have said it came up with an error code of p0017 crankshaft position camshaft position correlation B1/SB, possible stretched timing chain. Could this be anything else or is the chain definitely stretched? Also after having the light reset a few days later a fault came on the screen say check hybrid battery, this also stopped the hybrid battery working and put the antiskid light on the dash too. Could any one please offer any advise. Thank you in advance. -
Hi guys, I am looking to buy my first Lexus on Sunday. A used GS450H SE 3.5 CVT AUTO HYBRID - 2007, with 42K on the clock. Is there any advice as to what to look out for when test driving the car, or what checks there are that should be performed on these models. Would be much appreciated. Thanks.
