  1. Is200 down in power since the day I bought it, compression tested recently all cylinders 175/180 good compression. Has new spark plugs, vvti solenoid, fuel pump, new coilpacks, throttle body and sensors, new japspeed manifold with no cats, new 02 sensors/second hand sensors but they came off a perfectly working car I have a new MAP sensor on the way I know they are a slow car but it being down on power makes it real difficult to drive, only light on dash is oil light comes on and off as im driving but its not leaking oil, I check the oil religiously because of it and has never lost a drop since I got it, scanned the car and it has no faults Any suggestions?
  2. Does anyone know where to get replacement wing mirror glass for a 2017 IS300H other than from Lexus direct and does anyone know if it’s the same size and fit as previous IS300H models or any other IS models such as the 200 or 250? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  3. Hi lads I'm having issues with my is200, I recently tried supercharging it but I came across this issue, I took off everything got to do with the supercharger kit and still having the exact issue even though now the car is back to stock/NA the issue is that when I rev the car past 5k rpm the car just dies when ya let off the throttle i tried the tb mod but idled like **** so bought another tb to replace the old one, I had to make a new tb gasket out of gasket paper because the metal one broke, I had the injectors out but put them back in 1980BF21-7631-4598-9AED-FE1BDF8DE415.mp4 4991C90E-3505-4BD4-A371-5D81F6359344.mp4
  4. hi folks. just looking to swap my 2j n/a engine into my is200 shell, I've located a man to do the swap and he knows what he's talking about but he has a very expensive parts list that followed 😛 i just want to see or hear peoples opinions that have done it and looking for sort of the do's and don'ts of the process. also looking to see where to pump money and where to save i know this sort of build isn't cheap as I'm looking to turbo it in the process whilst it is in with the mechanic. any help/advise greatly apricated. thank you.
  5. Hi guys. I'm new here, created this account in desperate search of information. My 05' is200 manual trans won't start. Here's the whole previous things that happened : I had the P0304 error code telling that the cyl n°4 had a misfire. We swapped the 6 coils & the 6 spark plugs. Didn't solve the misfire issue. So I took apart the 4th fuel injector and let the car sitting for a few days as it had to be given to a specialist to be tested and cleaned. When I came back to the car, the 4th injector hole on the head was totally flooded in fuel, it emptied the few liters in the tank vaccuming itself out... I vaccumed everything out there, removed the 6 spark plugs, controlled the cylinders weren't flooded, changed the oil (which was) controlled the air intake was clean and dry (it is) and finally put everything back together. Now when I try to start the car it will crank and spark, the injectors receive the +12v on a pin (when key on ignition ON), but there's no pulse to the ground for them to work. What could cause this issue? If someone could help me for the troubleshooting that'd be awesome... Best regards Guillaume
  6. OEM never fitted, never used but have been de-painted and powder coated. They were my 'winter spares' for my IS 250 Supersport - which sadly I had to let go as she was not practical for ferrying disabled/elderly family to and from hospital. I kept them in case I ever purchased another IS250. My mother-in-law (84) and auntie-in-law (89) are still hanging in there. It's a shame to see them sat there doing nothing. When you look at the price of OEM then these are a bargain, especially if you look after them as they will not go the same way as paint & lacquered finish they are 100% powder coated and baked by a professional provider. I am an old school City & Guilds qualified tech and I don't mess about when it comes to getting a quality job done! Buyer is to collect or arrange courier. The price is non-negotiable given I paid for them brand new! The money will go to buy electrical tools which will be used on community projects such as making new solid wooden gates for the vulnerable or custom items due to disabilities which I found there to be a need of as an Emergency Medical Responder during the pandemic. I hope they can go to a good home. So what's the asking price? Price - £500.00 (all four wheels @£125 ea.) Payment Method - I can take a credit card but there will be a additional 2% processing fee. Cash on collection is preferred. Additional Fees (non-collection) price will increase in terms of packing and in addition any courier fees. Private Delivery - within 100 miles radius at 0.59p per mile from DN36 or WF13 Postcode (depending on which week due to work etc) Terms: Payment must be made and cleared prior to release of the wheels. No payment, no wheels - simples. Enquiries via my private messaging. I will responding within 48 hours (due to work commitments) if not within 24 hours.
  7. Hey guys, I’m new to this forum and have had my Lexus is200 for a year now. the car has started misfiring from cold to warm yet when at operating temperature the misfire is gone. car only shows the one P0110 code and have changed the air intake sensor which made no difference. any helps appreciated as always.
  8. Hi recently put a turbo in my lexus is200, Td05 full set up with fuel regulator, upgraded fuel pump with return line, 1zz injectors, sump etc. car was fuel cutting every time hitting boost (.5 boost). Tried 4 different fuel cut defenders and piggy back ecu and nothing worked. Changed all spark plugs, coil packs, throttle body, ecu everything and still fuel cutting. I also put standard injectors and fuel pump back in and still fuel cutting. Anyone able to help me out? When disconnect the pipe from throttle body and run car without turbo its perfect but when connect pipe back up issue starts again. Thanks
  9. Hey, just a quick question for you all. I'm pretty sure the battery in my key fob is on it's way out as it sometimes unlocks the car and sometimes doesn't (mainly in cold weather). The battery that's in it currently in a CR1616, or somethin along them lines, but it alot smaller than the hole where the battery sits in. Is this the right one or not?
  10. I know not many manuals have this so maybe I am alone, but the cruise control is no longer working. All I tried is replacing the battery inside the remote, then stopped bothering about it. Does anyone happen to have solved this issue? Thanks
  11. Hi all, lowering springs posts never seem to go away I know but really need some help with my 'new' 54 plate IS200 SE....... coilovers will be a bit overkill for what I need so going down the direction of springs, but, looking at the Tein ones which still seem available it says SXE10 chassis type.... my log book says mine is GXE10!? Is it true these are the same? Also, then with the eibach pro kit its 30mm all round and my car is currently lower at the back than the front on standard springs, so will that make it look uneven!? What's people's advise on the best ones to get for an even, subtle drop suitable for daily use - don't want it on the floor!
  12. I am after a set of tte wheels for my is200 Se that I have recently fully tte kitted Has anyone got any? Also, would be interested in buying a LSD for the car if anybody has one also
  13. Wondering if you guys have any ideas on which roofrack brands to go with when buying one for an IS. Spoke to one guy who had a ''Lexus original'', will look into that aswell but just wanna check here too. Thanks.
  14. Afternoon fellow IS200 owners, Never posted here since I've never had any issues with my 2003 IS200 (testament to its quality I suppose) until now: for a few weeks now, when the (auto) gearbox shifts from 3rd to 4th gear there is a weird vibration noise/feeling. It only lasts about half a second but it shakes the entire car and it's really noticeable. It sounds and feels as if you're driving over one of those cattle grids on backroads. Only after this .5 second event it will shift into the 4th gear. The weird thing is that it only does this sometimes, purely at random under normal (not even hard) acceleration AND only from 3rd to 4th gear. We haven't been able to find the problem and I don't really want to yank out the entire thing just yet before I know what might be the problem. I tried searching this issue on both Google and this forum but haven't been succesful, plus it's so difficult to exactly describe. Does anybody here have the slightest idea of what I'm talking about or have experienced this with their IS? Please let me know!
  15. Hi I have a Lexus Is200 down on power the lambda sensor was giving a fault so I put in a second hand one it was still giving a fault so I bought a brand new one. Was still giving fault so I assumed the cat was blocked, I then changed the cat and car struggled to start so I disconnect the new cat still wouldn’t start. I then changed the fuel pump and spark plugs car still wouldn’t start. I eventually toed the car and rolling started it. It started and haven’t had an issue with starting it ever since but is very down on power struggles to get up a hill. I changed the coil packs, injectors, throttle body, disconnected the lambda sensors, changed the map sensor changed the air filter.. I’m running out of ideas any help is appreciated. Only fault that comes up on the system is the lambda sensor
  16. Hi Everyone, Hi mate, thanks for this. My IS200 (2002) has shown code P1346 for some time now. VVT valve changed, camshaft position sensor changed even the coil pack, all 6. But this code keeps showing up. The car actually broke down over a year ago because I neglected to get the tensioner changed. The camshaft was replaced as was belts etc. Since being put together again the idling is playing about. I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing this before it broke down. You could be sitting in the car at the lights say and the idle isn't consistent, much to the point of the speeding up the revs and causing the car to shake left to right. Timing has been checked and double checked and is spot on. It's also misfiring on just one cylinder apparently and popping at the exhaust. Thank you for reading.
  17. Hi guys, I've decided to put my Build Thread on here on a permanent basis if that's okay? Thought it would be easier.... So, here is my IS200 SE. I've owned it since October, I've had a few issues already such as the Immobilizer and the Battery. So far they have been fixed, fresh discs and pads all round as well as a new Sill. Couple of slight modifications, such as your basic Black Sunstrip and tinted front and rear lights. Coilovers have also been fitted (see previous post). I've sorted out a set of wheels which I've had for a while which will look mint I just need some rubber wrapped around them. Exciting times ahead but so much more work to do. Next up, full stainless steel exhaust. - M
  18. Hi guys, I have a opportunity to buy a Lexus is200 sportcross MY2004, but I havent seen the car yet. I was wondering and did a bit of digging on the internet and I couldnt find something about that car. I never found another lexus, or someone saying lexus made is200 with AWD AND with Manual transmission. All i found was a wiki page with list of IS models and the only sportcross with AWD was Toyota Altezza Gita, but with automatic trans. So that made me wonder, if the one Id like to buy is even awd... (they even list it as a V6. lol. photo of engine bay says something different) So, does anyone know about sportcrosses with AWD?
  19. Hi Was wondering if anyone is aware of anyone, except Lexus, selling brake disc shield/guards for a 2003 IS200. Was trying to look around before forking out roughly £32 for a circular piece of metal. I understand it might be possible to run the car without the shield but would rather I had it on the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Hi, I have recently bought a is200 sport sunroof model, there’s a major water leak, I cleared out the drains for the sunroof which were blocked and dried up the carpets the best I could but still to no avail, carpets front and back are drenched checked door and any other obvious areas that could leak without stripping off panels like windscreen etc, is there anyone that has came across something like this before or could point me in the right direction?
  21. Hi all, new to this forum. Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I have an old is300 estate, 2002. There are some rust bubbles on the bonnet, and I haven't got a clue how to tackle this - how would you go about it !? new (aftermarket) bonnet / scrap yard / bodyshop...
  22. Hello guys. I have had a couple of Is200s now so I am very familiar with the rear arch rust issues. I cut it all out recently on my new shell and sealed everything and at the time realised it needed all new rear arms as they are on their last legs too. KFD adjustable arm kit ordered to correct that but I can’t seem to find this part anywhere?!? It appears to be a spacer between the subframe and a support bracket that goes to the chassis. Does anybody know what this part is called or where I can source one new? This is is the only photo I have of the particular part atm but I can get more if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Jack.
  23. Hi there, currently having an issue with my car (is200, 2001 spec) Don't drive it often so I find it dead most days and have to charge it before I can use it. After charging one time, I've left it, and when I've now gone back to it, it seems completely dead, like no lights or anything. All is fine after removing charger when hooked up to mains, car showing full voltage and a full Christmas tree of lights, but after trying to start the car, all the lights go off, doesn't even try and start the car, complete silence apart from a small beeping sound... Any ideas would be great as I can't even lock the car anymore 😬 Thanks 🙂
  24. Hello, I am seeking help to resolve my ABS light being on. Yesterday I installed an active subwoofer in my 2004 IS200, I ran cables from the battery to the trunk and also 3 signal cables from my aftermarket radio, the woofer works fine but since then, ABS doesn't work, the light is on, also the TRC light is flashing and the brake warning light is always on. I tried disconnecting the subwoofer and battery, then reconnecting the battery without the woofer to see if it helps, but nothing. Then I found a post about shorting two diagnostic pins to show error codes with the ABS light, and it blinked twice, three times, twice, six times, twice and seven times. But I don't really know what these codes mean. It doesn't make sense to me why this happened, since the woofer has got nothing to do with anything, expect the radio and the battery. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. Thanks.
  25. Hello all, I recently had a wheel bearing relpaced(front right) and was told I need a new "Hub dust cover" and hub nut. I am finding it impossible to find these parts availabe in UK for this model. I can find for almost every other car including other Lexus models but not for the IS200. Can anyone advise? Have included diagram as have seen the parts named a few other things. Thanks in advance. Kerri
