  1. Good morning all, I was on the look out for some Michelin Cross Climate+ tyres to replace my Yokohama fronts and Nexan rears. The rears have only covered 10k but want to replace all four together as the Michelins are obviously an all weather tyre. Anyhow, Kwik Fit are currently offering 10% off a pair and 15% off four. You can also claim some free Michelin Wireless earbuds if you are that way inclined. So a set of four for my CT200h just cost me £415.70 including a £5 charitable donation for a children's cancer charity. The discount worked out at £63.30 and they are due to be fitted on Wednesday morning. I also went through Quidco in case I manage to also succesfully snag the £17.16 cashback which has so far been confirmed as tracked. Just posting in case anyone is considering fitting these tyres to their Lexus in time for winter.
  2. I have been reading various post and comments on tyres, the good, the bad and nexen for the CT and i have always disliked the stock lexus tyre. However just a FYI these Michelin tyres are amazing in the dry (hea (26 degs) and brilliant in the wet. If its snows this winter i will update the post. The car is now silent. and sure footed like never before. 1. no road noise, 2, stops better, 3. in rain it feels glued to the road 4. i am sure in the ice and snow they will be just as good. - no more snow socks Yeah!! Just my view... These ALL weather tyres on the CT are the way to go. Highly recommended. Mark
  3. It's snowy here today. Nasty snow; ice, snow, compacted snow, slush. Lots of stuck cars, spinning cars etc. We were both fine. Nokian Weatherprrof on hers, Michelin Latitude Tour HP - both all season. We both felt safe and secure. Cars were getting stuck on the slightest of inclines. I felt I could have stopped on a hill and started again, easily. It felt good. And safe.
  4. It's snowy out there - about 6-8 inches in places. Even in my ( wife's ) RX with winter tyres, it was somewhat stressful. But we got 'there' and we got back again.
  5. Yesterday here was a snowstorm. We got 10 cm (4 inches) of new snow on the road. I would only tell that my car performed surprisingly great on unploughed road. No problem drive off on incline in such snow. I was little bit afraid of snow and RWD after 2 BMW's with xDrive, but now i am not. The car is really great in winter.
  6. Any thoughts on winter prep? I've topped up my anti freeze - with the Red concentrated one. 'Silicone' the door rubbers so they don't stick?
  7. Hi guys, Ladies My Lexus was involved in a rear side smash. Had to replace my sub frame and some other rods. On the day i went to get my car at the workshop the mechanic tried to start the car but according to him the battery was too flat and that blew the Alternator fuse. I don't know what they did before i arrived. Anyway, replaced the 120A fuse, car started, i was happy and I left. While driving I noticed my fuel light flashing and gauge showed empty. Put in R200 fuel but light still flashed and gauge still showed empty. Put on my radio and nothing happened. Came home, checked fuses and replaced one tha was blown. Radio now working but gauge still dead. Also found out that my TRC, SLIP and SNOw indicators does not work. Aircon dead. No light comes on when trying to demist rear window. Everything elsse works fine. Checked all fuses and they check out fine. Two sender units are fine (0 - 55 Ohms) What could the prob be. Did they mess up my computer? Please help Also not getting any voltage on my sender unit terminals
