Today I had close encounter with RX350L, and I think it was a design flaw with Lexus bowing to market pressure for 7 seats, those seat are disappointingly legrooms less and not even a child seat will fit and boot seriously compromised plus a biscuit spare wheel.Simply put:Wrong move, and I don't see it selling
My reason for coming here is to tell RX owners about "CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM" error. I drove my RX450H with fuel reserve until I run of fuel and the Check hybrid system light came on. Got 5 litre of fuel and still refused to start, until I added another 5 litre, then it started but erro did not disappear. Drove it like that, with energy monitor showing no unusual malfuntion. Then while stopping at a One-stop garage, took out the negetive od the 12V battery fof around 5 minutes. Reconnected and the error disappeared till today.
Dont drive the hybrid with fuel reserve, but if you get the error, try reset by removing the 12V battery terminal, it works.
