Thanks for all the replies, will take into account as to what I do next. So that you know, they stripped wires in the boot and also programmed a new key which my dealer says is a first. This could cause problems since they could come back and drive it off easily. I am awaiting a permanent fix to this but that will take time! In the meantime I will have to rely on physical security!

Thanks for all your suggestions, will consider and use a few. I am also thinking I need something with me that I can use when I am out and about. I am still waiting to find out from Lexus dealership how they got it, but on the CCTV it took 50 seconds, they were doing something on the front passenger side before the driver jumped in and took off with the other guy walking off in same direction. I suspect it was CANBUS. The 3 wires stripped in the boot afterwards was I guess to stop the alarm going off. When I got it back the car would not lock plus reverse camera not working. I took video of the car immediately I got to it and I cannot see any damage to the front passenger side. They had changed the number plates so looks like it was a professional crew. I am thankful that the tracker worked and I got it back. Just don't want to lose it again!

I purchased an RX450hL 2021 3 weeks ago for a new chauffeur business I am starting up. Unfortunately in the early hours of 20th March my car was stolen from my driveway in East Hampshire UK. Luckily the tracker worked and I got it back by midday, no visible damage outside but some wires stripped in the boot area. It is now with Lexus for rectification but has slowed the start of my business. I am new to this forum and have only just learnt about the vulnerability and theft issues. I learnt that a number of Lexus’s were stolen that same day, was wondering if anyone knows of others who experienced this mishap. I know its impossible to stop a determined thief but welcome advice for when I get my car back: The best visible physical deterrent to use on this car to signpost additional security so that it makes a would be thief think twice before trying The best additional theft prevention I can add to the car to make it difficult for a determined thief to be successful i.e. immobiliser Any help appreciated.
