2008 GS450h -BOTH High-Beam Headlights just stopped working!
On my 2008 GS450h, owned for six years - BOTH High-Beam Headlights just stopped working simultaneously and without any warning. I noticed it when driving and I tried to use them. The bright blue dashboard light indicator for the main beam comes on, and there is no warning message on the dash. But those headlights aren't working (all the others are). Easy, you say - their shared fuse must have blown. Per the manual, both paper and online versions, one 20A fuse in the engine compartment
CT200h Minimal air from centre cabin vents
Evening all, recently noticed my centre air vents are blowing minimal air regardless of selected clime setting. If I increase the fan speed, I can hear it increase though can't feel any difference. Interestingly if I select full down (floor) it does materially change, blowing considerably more air - issue appears to manifest itself in the centre and / or windscreen setting. For reference at the highest setting I can barely feel any air with my hand directly Infront of the vent and may just
that much?
I was looking at a second hand Lexus 2.0 E-CVT Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr, Premium Plus Pack Sunroof 2023 (23 reg) £31,220 The price seems very reasonable for a car that is 7 months 29 days old, BUT, when checking the price of the road fund license .. 'This vehicle has an additional tax surcharge of £390 until 28 Feb 2029' So that means it's lost at least £8780 in 8 months! that's some depreciation. 🤑
Lexus Accident Care - Not what it seems?
My 2 month old NX 450 suffered a cracked radiator grill and spoiler after an encounter with a suicidal hawk. A Google Search for 'Lexus Bodyshop' linked to Lexus Accident Care on the Lexus UK website. https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/accident-care. Benefits stated: Arrange Roadside Recovery - not needed Liaise with your insurer and handle on your behalf - No they don't! Their involvement ends once they have a sorted out a Lexus Approved Bodyshop
Car Mats
Only taken me 3 months to notice the mats in the rear of my car have a very nice blue trim to the edges. Are these original to the car ,or replacements? I ask because my front mats could do with replacing at some point and actually I think I would replace them with the same style of blue trim if they are available. Just a tip even if they don't come as standard you could quite easily have the blue trim spun onto 'plain' mats. Any local carpet shop of note will have someone they use to 'spin' the
