Became Beta tester got the updates and tried still does not work same error message. Even with full version spoke to Lexus Customer services who spoke to dealer who said to remove reverse beep is going to cost £25. Think I'll just give me on making the changes and live with the beep.

I should still be able to access the customization section of app with adapter then buy it if I know I can access it, there is no way of buying it without accessing the customization section of app. I've emailed Lexus customer services so hopefully they can help. Also waiting for reply from Carista, they took a long time to reply last time so going to hold off buying more adaptors till I know exactly what is going on, the 2 adaptors I have work fine with Carista diagnostic and Torque so they appear to be working just not with the customization section of app which is what i'm trying to do. Will update when I have more news

I only want to remove reverse beep, activate coming home lights, seat belt beep is fine, quite useful sometimes. Lexus Leicester are a pain the A**** had issues with them regarding health check not been carried out, missed or ticked things off did not bother to check for other things, said car will be washed and it wasn't claim it has been. Did not have this amount of hassle from Mercedes

They said they can't do tghe reverse beep as it's,safety feature and other adaptions cant be done. That's why I'm trying this route. Might have to try the offickL carista adaptor at £40 but no guarantee that's going to work either building up quite a collection of obd adaptors

Port works fine I can access with stand alone obd machine and via adaptor using torque and carista. I just can't access the customised section on carista

I tried pumping tyre up with this and it let air out, so I opened it to see how its connected, the bottle takes the pipe from inlet and outlet, doesn't look like it can bypass the bottle and use as a pump, most rubbish idea these pumps and goo. Least I found out when I did and not when I was stuck with a flat tyre

I noticed front tyre was a bit down on air, so thought I'd use the pump in the boot, bad idea.... is it true it's only of use to inflate with the goo and no use in just topping up tyre presure. I would never use the goo, would call breakdown and have tyre repaired, so I'm thinking to replace the pump with a normal 12V tyre pump. Any issues in doing this. Better still get a space saver and call breakdown out to change it - Health conditions mean I cant do it myself,

I've not bought the full version yet as I could not get it to work , once it's working and I can see what can be customised I'll buy it, as said above it can work on other cars, not sure of what it costs asctge website says $20, mainly want to get the reverse beep off and coming home lights on, Lexus Leicester say they can't do

If you see that error message then most likely your OBD device is defective or fake (unless it is the Carista adapter). It is possible that your device does not fully support the ELM327 protocol (it works with other apps or just reading fault codes, but does not fully support the ELM327 standard and Carista cannot communicate the alternations) and perhaps you can try another adapter. Think my adaptor is the one they talk about on the carista site, mines is listed as V 2.1 in the process of getting refund off ebay seller, least know I know which one to buy. Thanks for the heads up about V 1.5, great site, great car

I don't mind paying a fee to make the changes as long as I have an adaptor that works with carista. Going to try v 1.5 hopefully that gets me in a position where I can pay the app upgrade and make the changes. Will report back after trying new adaptor

I have requested help from carista but no reply yet, works fine on Torque lite and works fine on caristsa diagnostics, just not working on customization side of app. Could be the adaptor so gong to try another one, are there any adaptors known to work fully with carista?

Trying to do some customization's using carista, the adapter I bought off ebay displays the message in pic. I need to know which adapter is known to work with this car. I don't want to buy the official carista adapter for £40 as there site says can use with cheaper adapter, I'm using Nexus 6P phone also tried on samsung galaxy trend phone, get same message. It works ok with the fault reader side of carista and with Torque but not with customization side of the app. I want to remove reverse beep and turn on coming home lights, My Lexus dealer (Leicester) says it can't be done, I've on here it can.
