  1. How major are they? If the dent is small and doesn't require paint, then a mobile dent repair should work out much cheaper. I just had some dents removed by dent devils and they did a great job. Same with the scratches, if minor and in inconspicuous areas something like chipsaway would work out much more cost effective.

However, I've also used the bodyshop at Lexus Woodford a number of times and they do great work as well as being competitively priced if you choose to go that route.

Have you contact details for dent devils and a decent chipsaway operative local to london?

  2. Hi all just wanted to ask if anyone here has an HTC hero the new android phone said to rival the Iphone. I got mine last week and it seems to beat my old Iphone hands down in many respects-so much so that i want to connect it up to my car stereo as my in car mini computer instead. Its 3g and gps and built in compass makes it brilliant as a sat nav and it has voice control for texting/phoning

Anyone else have any experience with this particularly in connecting up to the lex?

  4. Cant you just use system restore then go into my control panel and delete any stuff you have put onto it ?? I am clutching at straws , me , if its a problem I beat the Sh*t out of it = no problems :D sweet.

not sure if that would completely erase the data?

  5. Does having the LPG system fitted put the RX in a lower emissions band ?

    Alan

You get a whole £10 discount for alternative fuels - I have read LPG is supposed to reduce the 'carbons' by 20% so you would think there would be a better discount.....

My mates currently getting his X5 converted to LPG at somewhere in heanor so I'm going to see if they are anygood then possibly have it done to mine.

  6. i've got a 4gb Nano and you can turn the limiter off in the settings on the ipod itself? :)

is this a new nano? i was under the impression that the limiter only applied to the new ones and cant be turned off. It may be just the headphone jack as suggested by Parthiban. I do connect mine through the bottom connector but have nothing to compare it with-it just sounds much lower than the CD player and radio so i thought the cap was on

the latest version 8Gb nano in black

  8. Hi all i'd just fit the wiring so i can use my ipod through my OEM headunit and i came across a couple of articles which basically say the ipod has a software induced volume cap which was put in to protect user's ears. Apparently this only applies to EU models. the problem is there is a discrepancy between the radio volume and the in-car ipod volume. i cant really tell the difference using the headphones as it seem pretty loud to me. the only way to operate it in the car is to have the amp up really high all the time. Anyone else have similar problems? has anyone got a US bought nano so i could try testing my hypothesis?

    help and thoughts appreciated

  9. Hi Guys,

After going through some of the thread here, i bought the Grom interface for my IS200. I will freely admit that i am not your hands on kind of guy when it comes to the car so i wont even try so that i dont damage something else in the process :crybaby: ! I was wondering if anyone here who lives in London knows how to install it? I'll come to you and pay for the service :winky: :winky: ...

    Please let me know...
