IS200se, £234 with Adrian Flux, tho I am 40. I remember paying £700 for a Renault 5 GT when I was 21 though :o)

Mmmm, installed mine, no problems.....However. It takes about 10mins for the HU to see the IPOD after I start the engine, is this right? with the engine not running its there immediately, most of the time.
Am I missing something like a "scan all CD changers" button combination?? or a Reset HU by certain button presses at the same time.
I have the 13903 if that helps.
apart from that when it works it sounds the dogs you know whats....!!

I'm a bit confused though, I have IS200SE model, 2001 with the 13903 headunit (CD at the top), and no Sat-Nav. Both of the connectors on the back of the headunit are used, albeit one only has a couple of wires in it where it looks like the Grom connects to .
My question, although I think it may have been answered a page or so back is do I use the Y-piece connector as detailed in an earlier post or leave out the connector altogether and see what happens.? Anyone know what the connector is used for, other than the MD which I don't have but something seems to be plugged into it?
Hi,
if you go back in this thread to post #66 and read up to post #69 (on page 4) you will find answers for your questions- pics included :) powerpuff mookie from belgium had almost the same problem like you - both harness (the relevant and non relevant) were already fitted with connectors.
The GromAudio box comes with a ca specific cable which allows you to handle the originally fitted connector. The one end of the cable who comes into the stereo has two connectors. The female connector gooes dirctly to the stereo harness and the male one offers a place for your originally fitted connector. So the Grom is fully integrated and no connector is left over.
Just have a look at the pics and you will find out that you won't have any problems to fitt the Grom box correctly :D
Best Regards from Berlin and have a good start into 2008
Sonnet
Thanks Sonnet, gonna order one today. :winky:

I was getting 280miles per tank until I changed the air filter and done an ECU reset. Now getting 360-400 depending on driving style, :o)
I used a K&N panel filter as the replacement.

Gonna try te local tyre dealer in the morning, however, being new years eve they may be shut and I'll have to until next week to sort..

Hi all,
need a bit of advice please. I have a 2001 IS200se with standard 17" alloys on and a problem with the tyre presssure in one wheel.
Tyre will hold pressure for weeks and then all of a sudden will become flat in seconds, I have had this driving along and am reluctant to continue using the tyre. No signs of a puncture and tyre looks normal.
Any deas? Should I get the tyre reseated and the valve changed?
thanks

I get about 30MPG, don't take it above 4000 RPM, except if on motorway. Used to have a Rover 420 which done way less than that, so I'm chuffed with the economy.
I'll be like a dog with 2 d*cks if I got a IS220d then...!!
-
£9500.....Jesus, at 30mph as well. Must've done chassis damage.
You were talking about getting it S/C'ed anyway so if you're gonna get another one get with with it already fitted.
-
Soory about that mate, must be a bummer. Damage don't look too bad, see what the insurance say.
-
Hi all,
You are not going to beleive this but I'm quite chuffed with MPG I'm getting out of my IS200se. Getting around 30MPG, used to have a Rover 420 and that done less...! Getting about 100 more miles out of the same cash.

Are Dashmount gone?
I got the IS200 bracket ages ago and did the job very nicely for the price.........
Went to get one for the wifes Avensis and Dashmount.co.uk doesn't seem to exist anymore?
Anyone know more?
Got a bracket a couple of weeks ago for the muver-in-laws Clio, so there still there, just checked and looks like a problem with their home page. Hopefully they'll get it sorted.

bit of a late reply but I've got a Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth kit installed in my wifes people carrier, and I'd totally recommend it. It comes with a screen and uploads your phonebook to the screen so you can search and make calles from the screen without even having o take your phone out of your pocket.
Was only about £120, can't remember where I got it from but google it and you'll find one.

Chris, have a look at this --> http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/index.html
also, search the forum as there was a really good post with pictures showing you how to take the pads out and remove the caliper as well.
