  1. OK... I recently stripped out my cd player due to error code 3 which is quite common and fitted my own cd player.

Now I am hearing that if I get my hands on a UK dvd sat nav system and simply swap it over the sat nav will work.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IS IT WORTH BUYING A UK CD PLAYER AND A UK SAT NAV SYSTEM AND FITTING IT BACK INTO MY CAR?

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP TO CLEAR THIS UP.

  2. I've seen it. Not sure on it myself, some of the fender kits (ooops another Yank word ;)) Arch kits are pretty cool though.

Do you think the "yank" kit is worth purchasing then?

If I can find it i'm sure it was only going for about £350 which sounds good to me as it was on a UK website somewhere if I could bloody find the thing!!!! :crybaby:

  3. Yep - can easily be done with fitted aftermarket monitor. Let us know when you are doing it and I'll give you the wiring for the motorised part so it will be as it is now.

CarPC is the way to go. Anees is looking at various GPS software, plus you would have a large mp3 player, videos, the lot. Couple this with an audio aux in and everything would be through your headunit. (Assuming you aren't going to change that as well),

Well if I could pull off something like what fargo has done I would be well chuffed, that looks mint!! and he can proudly stand back and say he done it himself....hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm satisfaction :lol::lol:

P.S Ian I would be proud as punch aswell. How much ruffly does an install like that set you back?

    mr iceman,, :D

PC is the way to go IMO,, much more room for flexability and fun... haev a look also at my old website page on the carputer install if it helps you to make any decisions.....here

    Stunning mate absolutely stunning!!!

Start my IT course on the 28 october so hopefully this will help in my carputer invention, then I might be able to replicate some of the steps you have achieved.

You make it look easy though!!

Think you should start a buisness, I will be first customer!! :D

  5. I know its quite crap if you don't have Sky, really suprised it wasn'nt on normal TV for all you analogue peeps.

Looks like someone knows there stuff!!!

Can't wait for when they race in the dark at Barhain that should be fun!!!!! But really cant imagine a one seater car with Rally style lights on the front :D

Atleast it will be something good to watch during the festive season whilst there is no F1..

  6. Well lads thats the start of the new A1 Racing season! :driving:

Just thought I would post a new topic to see what you think of it all and see if you think it is going to put any pressure on Formula 1?

In my eyes I don't really think so, I thought some of it was quite spectacular but did'nt really live up to the F1 standards!

Quite into the little engine boost they have but again did'nt show much on the TV!

  7. Looking to change my current useless sat nav system   .

Could anyone point me in the right direction so that I can still use the motor I have and maybe put in a decent sat nav/TV screen, not looking for anything to flash just a quick or semi- quick change over  :shifty:

Was in halfords the other day and had the guy miffed(Totally) i've already changed the head unit and re-built the centre console to fit around just need to find a better package!

Not to much feedback here then :duh: .Think I should get in touch with Fargo

after a wee look at his PC install I think I could do with his creativity!!
