  1. Hi guys,

been tryin to get hold of tony from WIM but cannot find any contact details.

on his website it has the number for Kiplings but i know he use to have another number for himself.

    anyone know what it is?

dunno if you guys can help but what has happened is the steering wheel shakes/vibrates really back between 45-55 but its ok above 60 and also vibrates really bad when coming down from a high speed and going through 45-55.

    Thanks guys

Sounds to me like you're wheels need balancing (probably knocked them - pot hole / kerb).

  2. officially it only increases fuel usage by 5% i got 460 miles the other day before the fuel warning came on

    460?

Was that on a long run, keeping to 70/80? My driving is mostly around twon about 30/40 miles a week and I cen get about 300 miles out of a tank :o

I use to get better mpg with supercharger fitted :)

I have been wanting to fit a supercharger for some time but don't have the funds for a number of reasons at the moment, but I did think that fitting the supercharger actually increased you're fuel economy (if you don't drive it with you're right foot down)

  3. mate there is a second hand s/c going for sale from sipey.

I think thats sold pip :o

yep sold and installed now :)

no problem, would like to buy a new one and am in a postion to do so now depending on price, but wanted to know what the situation with the GB was???

and what prices TDI and PRO-LEX are offering them for on a one off purchase if there is no GB (ie the prices quted £2300 and £2400)??

  4. Hey Dave ... hold on a sec... which "3" are you talking about?

Did I get left out ??? are the 3 from LOC? or others?

I never got one, was looking to buy from TDI with interest free credit (but not being offered due to the amount of discount).

Thought people were going to wait a bit longer after reading replies left by Thunderbird 2 “We are still gathering interest, so we do need a bit more time... one month at most?”

And by Pip “1 month seems fine by me as long as tdi and prolex are game?”.

I should be in a position to buy at the end of next month, would like to know if this offer/GB is still on ??

  5. We are still gathering interest, so we do need a bit more time... one month at most?

I am VERY intrested, would like to know if it is going to be another month as sould be able to sort out funds in that time.

To soon to deside today with the discounted buys going on at TDI and PRO-LEX without the intrest free credit...

  6. Just a minute Pro-lex and TDI put your handbags down a sec. I have been contacted by an australian owners club member and there is quite a few GENUINELY interested over there. The numbers maybe even more than just me, Bernard & the chap who has paid in full to Pro-lex!

TDI does your price inc VAT & delivery??

I am sure Bernard and the rest of the guys who are GENUINELY wanting to purchase want the best price possible.

I am having to take into account fitting charges on top of the tte kit that i have been quoted by the pro-lex fitter, nr manchester of £400 which is a bit too steep as i have already been told.

Please guys/sellers just wait a bit more as this could be beneficial to everyone concerned.  ;)

i am GENUINELY intrested but looks like intrest free credit is not available due to the amount of discount being offered. Need to know if peolpe who are intrested are going ahead with GB on friday or waiting a bit more.....for confirmed number in GB etc..??? or if kit will still be available after friday at the discounted prices form TDI and PRO-LEX.

  7. Now guys i am lost with all this ecu business??

I take it a 'piggyback ecu' is needed to run the s/c correctly?

Can someone please shed some light on the subject. I have read through the posts that this black tte ecu had some bother as far as i am led to believe (is this the one that comes with the kit?) and a silver tte ecu replacement is needed. What is the difference and is it really required? (something to do with RPM limiter by any chance?)

Which is best to have out of all the choices that tdi mentions(HKS, APEXI etc? and the costs).

Just looking for a definitive answer and to know as much as possible on the entire s/c route. Dont want to be unaware of hidden costs involved as i hope you understand.  :winky:

As far as i know (but not 100% sure) the kit comes with the black tte ecu ( which is unreliable) this can be replaced with the silver tte ecu ( at a cost of about £300 am LED to belive) or as TDI have said the black ecu can be replaced by a HKS alternative at a fraction of the cost.

would have thought that tte would now be supplying the silver ecu if the black one is unreliable !!!

  8. Am VERY interested but cannot commit until March next year

As mentioned before am Very intrested but cannot commit until beginning of March next year, Do like the sound of 6 months intrest free.

Would like to know if disscount is available on fitting if it is a group buy ?

and is it still the black ECU that come with the kit? if so is discount available to upgrade to the silver ECU?

  9. Just wait until you come to get youre BMW serviced or you have a fault.....

I had the BMW mini not even a year old (not even 10,000 miles)and the wheels had bad corrosion on them BMW did not want to do anything along with a number of other faults on the car....i found the customer care very poor.

Hope you have better luck with BMW than i did....

  10. Would still like a workshop manual though........hope you have better luck than me.

    try going to your dealer.

    its where i got mne

Did hear you can get a manual from the dealer, but also hear it is in two sections and both sections cost an arm and a leg (although i have not been the dealer to check this out) is this right !!!

  11. Just wondering if anyone knows where to download the workshop manual for IS200 so that we can carry out some minor service ourself, at least to be able to change the brake pad. I've seen it HERE but the link does not lead to anywhere.

I have been looking for a workshop manual for the IS200 for some time but have not had any luck except for the same link you have found (that does not lead anywhere) even sent them an email and got no reply.

Have found a mine of information on this site and the members are very helpful :D

Would still like a workshop manual though........hope you have better luck than me.

  12. I have a sport and as you mention mine comes with chrome pedals, door sills, and a limited slip diff also has half leather seats and both front seats are electric as far as i know this is std on the sport.

but as Monster Mat has said different specs in different countries fellas....................so not sure about youre IS being in Ireland???

  13. I used to have Prelude 2.0 manual, great car had it 5years started with 32,000 miles sold it with 100,000 miles. faultless just a little slow being 2.0l.

only reason i sold it got board after having car for so long..its still going good as a friend now has it.

  14. Don't know if this is of any help to you but i have a Lexus IS200 sport year 2002.

Had a look at the diff there is a finned area along the bottom around the drain plug(not very big finns).

Have take a picture ...but not too good at this computer stuff don't know how to add it to this message..sorry!!

  15. OK...Ive just been making exusses, but there is no reason not to do it...

So if anyone has instructions on fitting TTE Supercharger and could let me know/ possible email them me (in order to decide fit myself or not) i would be very greatfull.

Should have fund early next year (haven’t had the car long so still a bit short after buying it and just wanted to make sure i wasnt going to spoil what is an excellent car by fitting a supercharger).

Just a last question it looks like there are two different ECU (black/silver) and it sound like the silver one is the one to have ???

  16. looks like i will be looking at TDI warrington for supercharger/ possible fitting (may actually do myself) as i live nr Chester ( actually 5mins from Lexus garage).

Still wondering if difficult to insure car once modified???

Would also like to see/ hear a car with supercharger fitted early next year, will keep my out for one of the club meeting in this area!!!

Thank's again for all information and help..you all sound like a good bunch / excellent club.
