There was a step by step tutorial on how to get the instrument panel out on

www.lexls.com, but when I just tried it, it would not come up.

Worth a few tries, makes the job easier.

I answered your last post ....mine went wrong the following day!

Did you put a 'hex' on me........

I did this job myself, if you can neatly solder small parts you can do it.

Don't try and rush it and take care not to pull the printed track up from the board!

Ps....it works fine, I got the caps. from Maplin B)  B)

What you should do is replace them with better quality caps .... either bipolar ... or ceramic .... or titanium ...

i have a 94 ls400 whitch is superb . the only problem i have is that when i start her up the instrument panel does not illuminate, until she gets warm whitch may take 30-40 mins any ideas please. i was told to look on the us forum but had no luck. i would be gratefull if any body could direct me to the topic on the us site or have any other knowledge of this problem

i have a ls400 whitch is fantastic a joy to drive. the only problem i have is that when i start her up in the morning i have no illumination on the instrument panel, but when the weather warms up or i go on a long journey its fine ??? any ideas anyone please
