  2. Hi guys

Have decided to jump back on the band wagon and buy another Lex IS 200 Sport after the b------s stole my last one.

I have a couple of questions, When did the face lift of the IS range take place ie new wheels etc and what else apart from the wheels actually changed.

My old car was an 02 plate, and i am now looking at an 04 plate.

    Any help mucho appreciated

    Og :D

  3. Posh is out driving Beckhams Ferrari & manages to put a dent in the front wing.

Realising David wil not be pleased she takes the car to a local body shop for repair.

On inspecting the car the mechanic says

" look Posh it aint worth me fixing this,

just take the car home wrap your mouth round the exhaust & blow, I guarantee the dent will come out of the wing"

Posh thinks great, drives home, gets down on her hands & knees & proceeds to blow down the exhaust pipe.

Becks arrives home & asks what she doing?

Posh explains what happened & the recommendation the mechanic gave her.

Becks replied, " You dozy bleedin cow, there's no way that will work, you've left the front windows open". :D

  4. I bet its them scousers lol!!

There was a gang of them that targetted areas over here. Got away stealing quarter of a million pounds worth of motors. Only went for the class stuff too!

**** thing to happen mate and that is just pants to look for the spares because no one would think to hide them.

Get another lexus and dont let them win.

or its probably woolybacks from Lancashire.

    Nope probably black country b-----ds

  5. I can't beleive I didn't see this ?

Damn ....... sorry to hear your loss, but you will get something better out of it I'm sure !

Trackers are good ........... I have one in mine, its the Rac Trackstar Plus, it's GPS based, and not like the other cheaper ones ........ that rely on a triangulated signal, and beleive me ........ they are poo ! :shutit:

Did you source the tracker thr'o RAC ?

    :D :D :D :D

    Try this

Essex Blond crossing the road, gets run over by a XR3. The driver jumps out picks the blond of the floor and asks, "r u ok luv " the blond seems a bit dizzy so the driver asks "How many fingers am I holding up ?"

To which the blond replies, " I dunno I must have lost all feelin from the waist down "

  7. I did hide the keys , they went thr'o the house until they managed to find the spare sets, *** I feel like a ***** head :duh:

Don't punish yourself Ogry. We can all say "if onlys" all day long, but these things happen. I'm sure your not the first, and definitely won't be the last.

Now if you said you left them on the table just to side of the front door, that would be different.

Classic  young woman around the corner from me did exactly that  3 TIMES they fished the keys thro' the letter box FFS 3 off brand spanking new 323 beemers :D made my day when I found out , could'nt believe anyone could be that daft.

It appears the area im in is being targeted, would have been nice if the local cops could have dropped a leaflet through the door giving us a heads up.

  8. Gonna get another 200 or you thinking of the 250?

Next time hide the keys. It has reminded me anyway.

I did hide the keys , they went thr'o the house until they managed to find the spare sets, *** I feel like a ***** head :duh:

  9. :duh:

    will keep an eye out

pm me the reg number and chassis number

    Update time :duh:

Insurance payed out within 1 week for the bikes, 9 days for the wifes car & have been arguing about mine :tsktsk: claimed I had,nt disclosed 3 points (SP30) on my license  B-------S! Luckily I keep copies of all correspondence with insurance companies after another similar experience and they have finally decided to pay out. Awaiting settlement figure.

Now I have a problem, do I buy another Lex & temp the Bast--ds back :excl: or buy something dull and accept the :tsktsk: have won?

Nothing from the cops not even an update, typical, just left a bill for £160

Bet your glad you kept the correspondence.

Next they'll be saying you did not declare the red calipers :hehe:

You would think they would have a computer link to the dvla or whoever stores license info.

Definately buy a Lex - just take the keys away with you or leave em next door etc.

How come the police billed you ?

Thought we paid our council tax for that ?

They called out a local firm  from Huddersfield :duh: to repair the door & then charged me £160 for the privilege  back hander or what ?

If you liked the Lex and don't feel like a change, then buy another one. You probably won't ever see these little gob-****es again. Why should YOU end up with a scrap of metal for a drive ? Surely this'll be like giving in to them. It'll be like falling of a race-horse and getting back onto a donkey.

Treat yerself and get another Lex. You only live once bud

Just remember to take yer keys with you next time (as Crazylex put).

Yep reckon your right, just got to find the right 1 :D

:offtopic: Anyone fitted a tracker? & are they any good ?

  10. will keep an eye out

  12. Don't wizz in my pocket and tell me its raining!

The IS may well be popular but How may LS400's did you see?

Maybe it's cos I'm picking mine up tonight/tomorrow but I don't know anyone outside the forum who has one. I don't see any regularly near me. I was worried that I wouldn't even find one to buy as they seem to have sold in such small numbers. I'm just glad I did, of course.

Here is my LS400 count for the week.

2 - and I test drove both as I only saw them as I was going to buy them.

Still rare on these streets me thinks... but then I live up north.

Dont wish to burst your bubble :duh: but my old man lives up north & he has a 400 as does a neighbour 3 doors down, stange that :tomato:

  14. The worst I saw was in Oklahoma, USA in 1988 while on vacation visiting family for christmas.

The weekend we arrived it was sunny and warm (around 80 deg F).. then a couple days later, woke up in the morning and went out to the car to find everything covered in 4 inches of ice with temperatures of minus 10F, much like those pics there.

    L.

Place is Versoix in Switzerland close to Geneva City on the edge of Leman Lake, -36 deg as attached

  15. The post above are about 3 years ago, so what about the technology today ? Which brand of the polish/wax is best for our IS200, Meguires, Mothers, Autoglym etc ? Can the experts here continue their advise for the technology today ? Anyway, what's Autoglym, haven't heard of it before.

Autoglym is a resin polish part of a range of products produced by, you guessed it Autoglym.

All their products are excellent and you can source them from most car accessory shops ie Halfords etc. :)
