just put my new wipers on today and then thought about using de-ionised water plus adding the screen wash and if the loss of ions in the water would affect the screen washs' effectiveness...........guess that's the researcher side of me coming out!! :)
The theory is sound, I know that professional window cleaners are using this more and more. They do not add any detergents and get quite good results. You get some awful water spots with it at first though. It takes a few washes to get the windows "conditioned".
And unless you add solvent/detergent to remove road haze, it might just prove too much for de-ionised water to shift.

At 55 I can look at good looking young ladies without their boyfriends wanting to beat me up, I can drive an old man's car with pride, I get good tables in restaurants and even get served quickly in pubs. Growing older is a direct consequence of having been gifted with life, but inside we get no older than 25.So!!! bugger getting old, just live!
And so say I mate (57 and in my second childhood)

Sorry I may be a bit dense, but are these gas struts we are talking about here

Great news that the IS200/300 came 2nd in the Top Gear survey.
Will drive to work tomorrow with a :D on my face!
Oh, it was beaten by the S2000 and the RX came third.
Hey, since buying my Sportcross I drive EVERYWHERE with a smile on my face

If I wanted to keep the car and find it in a usable condition after a six month lay-up I would buy a decent fitted car cover to use, but only after I had given the car a thorough waxing. I would also lift the car up on axle stands and make sure the wheels and tyres were properly covered & protected from the elements. Previous advice re: Battery holds good too.
Enjoy India and get home safe. Happy travels mate.

My recent experience from Lexus Stoke.
Last week, I purchased a pre-registered IS200 Sportcross Navigator for £21,000.
When I picked it up it had 3 miles on the clock!
Now, you tell me, was that a good price?
I think so.

Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that I picked up my new Sportcross from Lexus Stoke tonight. I could not run to a new IS but as Lexus have a stack of "old models" pre-registered at Bath I reckon I got a good deal.
I just paid 21K for a sat nav model in black, with leather and it only had 3 miles on the clock too. I am as chuffed as a dog with two doodahs, what a crackin motor, what an engine note.
I'm in love again!

Thanks Guys.
I just hope the Superguard will be as good as the dealer said it is.

Hi Guys,
New Lexus owner here with my first posting.
I have seen a local Beemer which has fitted what appears to be a plastic disc between the brakes and the wheels. It keeps the brake dust from the wheels. Does anyone know if these discs are available for an IS 200 Sportcross and where I might get them from

That is also my experience of "point and shoot". Fuji A300 or A400 excellent choice when on a limited budget.
Mind you if you want something nice, I got a second hand Pentax with filters and all sorts of other stuff if you're interested.
