yes it is just unplug,
its a little long winded how to remove the radio, and the centre console, you can do it if you know basic mechanics, all that is required is to remove a few screws
Do i have to remove the whole center console ?
That is fastened on the sides if i remeber it right and the radio is easy right ?
The module is then behind the place where the radio was ?
Is the ABS/traction module an easy access ?
I wont have to remove airbags or something like that ??

the prop tunnel is the middle of the car that the propshaft runs down, behind the centre console (radio) the airbag module is there screwed down to the top of the propshaft tunnel
Ok great. thanks
Can you tell me the fastest way to do this and do you think that an mechanic should do this ?
When I change the module is it just unplug and plugin again ??
Thanks

on which bit, seems fairly specific to me....
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I am from Iceland and the english words as centre console on the propshaft tunnel im not sure that i fully understand this but can you describe to me where that is, is it inside the car or is it accesable from the hood I understand where the 4 locations for the ABS might be thanks.
Do you know if this is a hard installation or is it just plug out and plug in ? also the ABS sensors do you know anything about that thing ?
My IS300 is 2002 USA model
I really appreciate your help sir
Thanks

the airbag module is behind the centre console on the propshaft tunnel, the abs module can be in 4 different locations, under the dash, on the rh side above the fuse box, on the lhs above the glove box or with the actual abs pump, depending on model/year/market
i have the abs module/airbag module if yours are not compatible
Hi and thanks for the answer
Could you be more specific please.
Thanks

Hi there. I have a IS300 and i have a problem with it.
When i have the wheels centered i can put 3 fingers behind the left front wheel but 2 fingers behind the right front wheel. The car vibrates when i brake around 40 mph and up to 65 mph.
Can someone help me. Thanks
Gunnar
Does the car pull right (without braking) and the vibration when braking has this just suddenly happened or has some work been done to the car.
What I'm looking for is 'what was between'
No vibration when braking

Vibration when braking
Car drives fine and only small vibration is found when driving fast but hardly noticable. only when braking it vibrates. the car drives straight.
The car was like this when i bought it and i really hate this vibration. is the balance rod mabye bent or something. I put in new pads but it did not help still the same vibration.
Thanks.

Hi everyone out there.
I have a IS300 2002 model. I have a problem with it and i need to get rid of it as fast as possible.
The thing is that when i brake at 45 mph and up i get very much vibration and the hole car shakes.
2 days ago i replaced the pads on all 4 wheels with high end pads, but it didnt get any better. Also i have cross drilled rotors and im not sure how old they are but the look new.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it deeply.
