  1. Hi Gavin

First welcome to LOC :D and the darkside

The first question is are you used to an auto box

When I first got the Tezza I had driven auto cars before but not really "tried them out", thought it real weird. But stuck with it refusing to drive the manual IS till I found out how it worked.

Have a play and remember that the box will respond to what your right foot does as well as the buttons on the wheel. The Tezza needs revs so don't be afraid of giving it some "wellie".

Anyway have a play and have fun and to answer your question I thought the same as you  about the slow bit till I got used to it. Used properly the tip is nearly as good as a manual and just so much better in traffic jams.

You want the revs up to overtake when you know a good straight is coming, to avoid kick down on corners or roundabouts use the tip to give you the gear you want.

    Hope that helps :D

    EDIT GOT ANY PICS :D

    Welcome to LOC,

Did ya try pressing the power button ,

  2. they found the problem with my car,,

    its the throttle body

Good news they found the problem.

Do you know how they isolated the issue?

Whats wrong with the throttle body?

its good news but its costing 1400 euro,

there was a too much air going through it then the springs broke and the throttle body has to be replaced hopefully it hasnt damaged anything else

  3. I got your PM Razablade, but I am still clueless as to what's wrong with mine.  What's I've had to do is buy a wrecked one very cheaply and I've transferred the engine and wiring for it last weekend, and doing the final fixings this weekend coming and I'll be rolling again.  No one could tell me what was wrong.

I admit it was kind of a long haul thing to do but I was getting nowhere and my car's been down too long.  Also, the ECU of these cars controls almost everything in it, so you've got to get someone who has software and equipment that talks to that ecu.  That's the only way.

    Good luck.

will getting a new ecu fix the problem. how much would it cost.
