The engine will last and last and last and go on forever if correctly maintained.
For the things to look for, check HERE
Cheers mate, will keep them tips in mind
Also he mentioned that he only has one set of keys for it but he said he will attempt to contact the company who had the car last for the other keys, should i be worried?
There should be three keys: two multifunction keys and a limited function valet key. If it is the valet key, walk away from it. If it is the main key you can have others cut - at a cost of £152 a key!
Whats these keys look like, how many buttons will the mutifunctional key have and what colour will have?

@ Shab620 where abouts in Yorkshire you from mate?
Hyer mate
I'm from the Leeds area
what about yourself??
Do you know of any good grarages to go to in yorkshire for an is200???
Hello there,As someone who has just bought my first Lexus, an IS 200 SE (about a week ago), I can thoroughly recommend it.
One word of advice, if you are on a tight budget watch out for the insurance price difference between the SE and Sport, ask an insurance broker to get you quotes for both. I did and there was about £150 difference, but then my accident history is less than impeccable!
Generally the engines last a long time and Lexus has very good reliability. I think there was some concern over tyre corrosion on the early models so watch out for that.
Good luck!
Hello
Thanks for the advice, i will bear it in mind
whats fuel economy like on the lexs?
If you are keeping the car standard then i would recomend the sport package as this has a bit more to offer, If you looking to touch it up a bit then look for a SE, As you get a nice bundle of goodies for a good price. Which should leave you more to finish it off. As for the navigator pack its a nice touch. I have seen some systems going on Ebay which means you could add it too your own model. But im not too sure what the steps are too do this... best to ask the pro's if your going down that road.I have brought a IS200 SE and haven't stopped smiling. Good luck with yours and enjoy it :)
Yes think i'll be going for the se model, maybe the navigator
My only worry is the what the running cost of the cars are like?
What sort of mpg can i get realistickly?
Also what sort of miledge can they handle, just thinking of mybe buying on with 100 k or something?
What colour and spec you after ? s, se or sport :D
Hye
I think an SE would be a good choice, maybe even the navigator
Hav you got any thoughts?
If you are wanting plat-ice se model w reg 62,000 miles very good condition, no sat/nav, i know where one for sale.
Hye gord
where is this car for sale then?
whats a plat-ice model?
