Well I switched blue tooth off on the phone, then turned it back on, after a reboot. I then rechecked the pairing on the Lexus, and since then all is ok with no serious drain

Thats what I thought, ignition off, no Bluetooth. However I turn Bluetooth off on my phone, and there is no Battery drain.

The only Bluetooth connections were the two associated with the car

Just purchased an Nx300h haveing had two other models. I'm using the same mobile. I paired my mobile, no problem. But its draining my android Battery, whether the car is being used or parked on my drive.

The lexus is the only Bluetooth paired device. The phone settings have not been altered from when I had the last lexus (other than pairing)

It was a car I was looking at, at a Lexus dealer who stated their service dept. had stated it was a £1k repair and as such the dealer was not going to rectify it. I've never heard of this fault, and as such I wondered what it could be.

I had mine, both front & rear replaced 3 years ago by a Lexus specialist garage, cost £596 including a full service

At the next service they found front disks were warped (I'm not a hard driver / in braking) and they were replaced under warranty

I am a new member and we run two 1998 LS400's. Both absolutely fantastic vehicles with the textbook 'magic carpet' ride and phenomenal reliability.

At its M.O.T. one of them showed excessive tyre wear on the inner edge of the rear nearside tyre.

No but I had my LS alignment checked / adjusted by a Lexus forum company recommended workshop with no problems, I don't recall the name but they were in Watford area. My LS400 also had front inside tyre wear

Hi, LS430, the steering column tilts but does not go in or out, its locked in the lowest position.

Any idea of cause or cost to rectify - Local main dealer quotes £1k to repair

I had an extended conversation with Lexus Tech (Japanese Board Level) during Silverstone GP a couple of years ago.

He stated that in extensive testing of LPG it was shown that damage was done to the engine. I dont recall if it was a specific model that had been tested.

Nearly all my journeys are long (between 100 & 300 miles). Overall I have been getting 27mpg and I claim 18p a mile from my employer so fuel costs have been easily covered.

18p per mile? thats stingy. The std IR amount is 40p / mile and up to 10,000 miles they dont query it

I could be wrong here but my 94 model has 2 screen wash bottles one at the rear of the Battery ( screenwash/water mix and one infront of the radiator ( plain water only for rinsing) probably changed for your year if so sorry for duff info.

Were or how do you get at the screen wash bottle level indicator?

Mine shows it need filling (on dash) where as it is actually full.

Not a major issue, just an iritant.

I've just become the proud owner of a 1999 Ls 400. What a fantastic car. No more Bavarian rejects for me. I was wondering about upgrading the sat nav. I went to Scotland last week and it stopped at the border (insert joke here). I believe that the upgraded disc is, a) the same a Jaguar system, b)horribly expensive. I see a few Toyota ones on ebay. Do these fit?

Is it something to do with US Emission tweaks?

And what period / milage between changes?

You've seen the Mercedes film of the Demo for their new system which is 'see in the dark' and designed to bring the car to a stop if neccessary?
