hi chaps ive locked the key in the boot by accident and havent got the valet key . if i take the log book and id to the stealers will i be able to get the key number to get a key cut to allow me to open the door ??

dont suppose ur drivers window is slightly open is it? if so u could hook the boot release and pop it open......

unfortunately no i always shut them fully

for the power steering, had a prob on my last post with the steering so thought i might change the fluid.

probably the belt slipping and not squealing. Mine did this but made the squeal so was obvious. got the belt tightened and fine now. easy to tension the belt up

would also assume slipping belt (a slipping belt doesn't always squeal) if this is def not the case then it is poss incorrect grade of or incorrect fluid been used to top it up. (too thick when fluid is cold)

edit just re-read ur post, are you saying it's stiff when stationary and ok when moving, if so, check your front tyre pressures. ;-)

when i first start the car in the morning the power steering dosent seem to work until ive set off

seems really stiff to turn from a standing start ie when i turn the wheel . its ok once im on the move

any ideas , greatly appreciated !

no noises, and fluid levels ok once its going its fine ,cold weather maybe ?
