  1. Thank you very much for your answers and welcoming me to the Club!

I'm glad I could surprise you with my questions, but I got more!

What's "Shift Lock" on the gear changer block for?It sounds sort of obvious that it locks the gear to the current one, but it didn't lock in, so I'm in doubt. What is it for?

The shift lock button when depressed and held down allows the gear lever to be moved so the car can be towed or winched onto a breakdown truck if the unthinkable should ever happen.

Try moving your gear lever out of park without the ignition on, you should NOT be able to move it!!

Then hold the button down and try.

    Regards and welcome

  2. Mine fold on lock and open on start so get used more than some maybe, but they were absolutely fine through the last winter when they were covered in snow for ages :)

    Good evening Parthiban

Did you do the mod on your mirrors to fold in on lock etc, or was it already done when you got the car.

I can only assume that the cables for the switch have been re-routed to the ignition switch.

    Regards

    Nick

If you search the forum theres a guide to creating your own folding mirrors circuit.

you need a timer circuit and some wiring, its fairly simple

    Thanks Stav.

I will search and see if I can come across it

  4. Could somebody give me some idea how much my IS200 is worth.

It is a 2000(W) SE with 110k on the clock.

It is of course in lovely condition and the reason I may be selling it is because it does not get used enough by myself or my wife and seems a shame it being sat around not doing much
