  1. Basically if you using it to power a sub, you need to "T" off the two wires going to the bottom speaker.

just strip back some outer sheath and attach it. one to each wire on each side.

    Thats should be it.

    Hi,

I want to connect a High Level Speaker Output to RCA phono convertor to connect a separte Amp which will power the sub. The Speaker to RCA convertor will convertor the speaker output to Low Pass signal through RCA phono, which will give me phono output signal which then i will connect to the amp via phono leads. I need to know if it is safe to connect using the rear speaker wires as they are powered by the OEM amp from the car stereo.

Basically I want to ran a amp and sub without changing the original standard headunit in the Lexus is200.

  3. I've been using 3G discs (grooved and dimpled) at the front for the past 8 months or so and i'd recommend them, they are @£176 for just the pair of fronts. As mentioned, you really do get what you pay and with brakes, it's worth the extra money for a piece of mind.

The only reason why i goto Ashford is for cineworld and outlet centre. Don't use any garages there.

I found some 3g discs on eBay for £147, do they look legit? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=290303174471

    (item number 290303174471)

Yep that's legit, thats the user i bought mine from. The ones i have are RS-10 and i can see the price has gone down since i bought a pair (£149 now), so thats good.

    Hi,

I am looking to change my front dics and pads for my is200. First time i've heard of these 3G discs and they look good. Do they perform better then the oem discs and pads, u notice better braking? What pads would you recommend with these discs?

  4. Thanks for the replies.

I spoke to the garage again today and i'm getting told the sliders were siezed solid and took bit of time freeing them up. I'm strongly getting recommended to buy the carriers has pistons and the rest look fine.

I've rang up Lexus Hatfield and got a price of two carriers for £224.64 inc Vat. Going to go for this option.

  5. Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

I have cleaned the sliders with wire wool and greased them but after couple days same thing again. I've been told sliders are siezed and the rubber cover is split letting water etc in. Garage advised me best to get new carriers for both sides. Any one know the price for the carriers and best place to get them from.

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

My brake pads on my driverside is touching the disc when driving and it sqeeks up to 50mph, can't hear nothing at high speeds. Took it to the garage and they told me the sliders arn't working and are seized. They freed them up for me and greased them up. After few days same thing. Been advised to get 2 new carriers as the other side is seized too.

Can anyone advise me of getting these carriers new from some where.

    Thank you

  7. Hi,

My front driver side brake caliper is sticking well what i get is the brake making squeaking noise like when the brakes make when worn, and thats when after i have appiled thte brake and driving off, and can carry on for a while regarless the speed till i guess the caliper pulls back. Have got new pads and discs last month and was told by the fitter that the sliders on the brake dont work properly and will need new ones. Yesterday was getting the above problem. I have been advised to get a new brake carrier/Housing with the sliders to cure the problem. Any idea where i can obtain this cheap new or second hand. Please advise asap.

    Kind regards

  8. Hiya,

Got my management light come on the other week, got it checked out and is the O2 sensor, Bank 2 sesnor 1 whcih i assume is the sensor at the front near the manifold?

Rang Lexus to get a price on the part and got a a whopping £194 for the sensor. Any one know where I could get one cheaper that is compatiable but same quailty as the Lexus Branded sensor.

    Cheers
