  1. Has anyone tried these Aerotwin or Valeo flat type wiper blades on the 90 MK1 LS400?

Just curious if they fit as the drivers side has a strange type attachment.

The lengths should be 22" and 16".

I dont want to try ordering any yet from a supplier in the UK until i find out the answer.

Im in Australia and these arent available aftermarket here yet.

Also, who might be the bet people to order from that ship overseas?

Any advice appreciated, and thanks in advance.

  2. Hi

I have a 91 celsior with the same suspension problem.could you give me any advice on kickstarting the air suspension or replacing it with a less expensive option?? also looking for english hand book or manual for selsior

Sorry, cant help if you an aftermarket air suspension controller, but if your Celsior has the standard air suspension, and its not working, has sagged low, or the dash 'NORM" light is blinking, first check that the suspension 'on/off' switch is turned on.

Its in the boot inside the tool kit compartment on the left side.

Apart from that, its just the normal 'Tems' (Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension) sport/normal setting, or the 'Height' high/normal switches on the console next to the shifter.

  3. Im not exactly sure, but there are two fuses for the stereo system.

Under the dash, three rows of five fuses, check the second from left, top row, number 2, should be 7.5amp.

Then in the engine bay, between the Battery and coolant bottle, remove the cover and check the top left one, 20amp. number 1. Its the left one closest to the coolant bottle if you are facing the rear of the car.

  4. Its the on/off switch for the air suspension.

It must be turned off when raising the car, or wheels, off the ground.

Damage could be done to the strut airbags if left on.

If left off, self levelling will be inoperative, and over a long period of time (depending on condition of struts) car will settle down very low, eventually onto its bump stops, so dont forget to turn it back on again before driving.

Here is the relevent section from the owners manual.

  5. Gday chips, and thanks for the welcome and the link.

But i had already seen that site, and having previously owned a Mercedes, i learnt that on those cars, trim is attached in the most unusual way, and damage is done if the correct procedure is not used, and i didnt want to go down that path with this baby.

Thats why i was hoping someone had done it, or had a pic of the reverse side of the trim to see how its actually attached.

But thanks for your answer, i appreciate you taking the time chips.

  6. Hello gents, new owner here of a 90 Celsior (LS400) and dont have the factory workshop manuals yet, but ive searched all 49 pages of the LS400 forum to no avail regarding c-pillar interior trim removal.

Its the vertical part each side of the rear window that holds the interior light, and has the seat belt coming through.

Have seen some pages on the net about general trim/parcel shelf removal, but no actual instructions for this piece.

Id be very appreciative if anyone is able to post pics from the manual on removal of this part, or has done it and can explain the procedure on how to do it without me breaking it or any clips etc.

It could well be that it just pops straight off, but i dont want to 'yank' it in case there are some hidden screws etc.

    Thanks in advance.
