  1. Hi

I am looking for the cheapest 80k main dealer servicing in my area. I live in NE London so the London area, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire are good for me.

To be honest your best bet is to ring around and ask they are all the same sort of price.or go to www.lexus.co.uk then you will see all the dealers near you...if you are a loc gold member you would get a 10% discount on all parts and labour..

yes, i am a gold member so I will ring around and find their standard prices first before asking for discount! - Woodford give 15% off labour and 10% off parts and they might be best

  2. thing is mate,no one will read the codes for free, unless you know them well or are friendly with them.So as above really go to Lexus, they will probably not charge you for the code reading if they sense you will be fixing the offending part with their service department. This is why i said initially if there is anyone friendly, its always easier, plus once you have the code, you can judge if its a huge expense or cheap to replace/fix.good luck both of you.

BTW flashing TRC could be failed coils(but it could also be something more sinister)

Yes, I'll take it down lexus woodford, essex and check it out.

I hope it does not cost too much!

  3. could be one of many things wrong. You really need to get to a garage to get the fault codes read.once you have them diagnosis shouldnt be an issue.Try and take it to a friendly garage, are there any around you?

Mine has come on as well - from yesterday along with the traction control light flashing now.

However, the car shakes a bit when at a stand still.

    Any ideas?

  4. As the castor tie rod floats for/aft the car will become nervous or continually pull to one side.

It's wise to get them replaced but either way nothing is going to fall off.

Cheers, I think I will get them done sooner rather than later by yourself :)

I have not noticed the car pulling to one side but the steering does feel a little slack, requires more turns...

You would not happen to know about leaking water pump and expansion tank as those are two other things the guys at lexus pointed out. I have not noticed any leaks

  5. Hi all

I have had no luck sorting out the alignment on my Lexus, firstly, when I got all my 4 tyres changed at a Local fitter a few months ago they did the alignment but one front tyre starting wearing badly on the outer edge, I then found another garage which appeared to have a computer facility but after they aligned it it has now worn badly (down to the thread) on the inner of one front tyre after only a few weeks and the steering was off centre after they had aligned it.

I have recently found out about Tony and WIM and he seems to actually know his Geometry!

So I would like to go to him ASAP to sort my car out.
