Quote Oh yes I picked up my T5 today, MINTER!! low miles full history.
Got a Black T5 S, Manual Full Blk Leather, Air con etc etc. dropped 40mm on 18"s. 'R' front bumber, it's bloody gorgeous and really fast. I would say 10 times better to drive than my Lex. I will post some pics soon, gonna wash it and take some tomorrow!!

Oops and there was I thinking that this was the Lexus Owners Club website, ostensibly designed for those none Lexus bashers and connoiseurs of finer things!

A quick rummage around under the sink has revealed one can of what looks like pre-war Brasso wadding.
That's me busy tomorrow morning then...

Lexus UK website now says IS250 will get Europe release late 2005, earlier than I thought, diesel 2006.
Any idea how much this will hit residuals on current IS's? Mine is only 18 months old.
Hi, IMHO residuals will be affected but it is too soon predict and also the motor traders will be reluctant to hazard guesses....the original IS200/300 series commanded and still commands one of the best returns for your money in compapison to other vehicle manufacturers so don't get too dispondant, just chop your IS200 in for a new IS250 when the time comes....you will get a very good P/X I wager.... :mat:

Hello all,
I just fitted a nice shiny trim to my exhaust - however the contrast between new&shiny and old&dirty can be seen from some angles, so I was thinking of giving the zorst a bit of a clean. Any tips/recommended products? And did I read on here somewhere that post 2001 models have stainless steel exhaust system throughout? (mine is post 2001)
thanks in advance
Hi, Solvol Autosol, wipe it on and wipe it off.......excellent. From Halfords and the like

Right, the deed is done........have been mulling over the new IS for the last couple of days and was sorely tempted to go for a very nice 54 plated astral black IS300 !!...but today common sense prevailed and I have placed an order for the new IS250, sounds by all accounts November delivery time...waiting for colours / options.
wow! very impressive!! are you the 1st order on yours dealers books? keep us posted when you get to know more...
is it just me, or is there a common theme developing here??? the more we look at the new IS, the more we like?? :winky: i sure do! me WANT one NOW!!
never thought i'd be considering saying goodbye to my fab IS300 - i'll have to keep practising tho, still bit painful to think about it just yet - i might just be ready to wave her off come mid 2006 when she's 3 years old...
Should have more info today from the local Lexus Sales manager as he returned from Geneva last night...it is also muted that there are to be some rather nice colours added to the list (metallicy black, and a luscious snad colour too) I will update once I have more info.....and the standard 12 speaker audio WILL be compatible for CD/WMA/MP3's.........Mark Levinson system will have atleast 13 speakers!!!!!!
:D If I was any happier I would be twins!!!!!!

Are you buying another Lexus? If so you can transfer the reg to the new car for £80. If not follow Shorty's advice and place it on retansion until you sell it. :winky:
Yeah, I know and have been through the routine more times than I care to remember so no advice required ta very much. Oswin, if you wish to sell said plate privately pleeeeeze drop me a line?
-
I'm selling my Lexus GS300 which bears the registration number LEX 1R. I don't know whether to try and sell the plate on the car or advertise the number on its own through the web dealers or on ebay, so thought I'd ask LOC members for their views and experiences.
Have you thought about selling the number on privately once you have retained it?? I tried selling my private reg via brokers who promised the earth and a fistfull of cash but it never came to anything........drop me a line if you do decide to sell privately.

Where the heck did you get the radio active staircase paint from??
Nice work scarface...............DIY...I remember it all too vividly!!!!!!!

well, now I have had the chance to look at the pictures fully (no longer dial-up) and read the upcoming specs, well, I'm impressed with what it has..
As for the looks, i like it more than i did yesterday, so its probably a grower...
But, ill wait to see it in the flesh (and blue) before passing judgement...

late 2005
Cheers Steve, as I had thought, November was muted...so thence I shall have one perhaps in sexy greyish!!!!!! No colour options yet...........
-
The arse does the talking, the rest is just not worthy..
I'm sure it will grow on me... Wonder if they do a Japanese Altezza model :D
So come on you learned lot who tampered with our patience prior to the release pics...when is the car being launched road worthy? I have been told that for the princely sum of £1000 I can be the 5th inline (local dealership that is) for one of these intrepidly exciting clay facsimiles....but where and when are the price lists / options being released to the oh so choosy Lexus philes??????? Coz me thinks I might just have one!!! Well done Lexus you have grown on me.......
-
from what i hear...........around the 24,000 price
Oh, thanx for the info................residuals, residuals!!!!!! Me thinks it will also deserve some rather tasty options too!
Anon, perhaps we will be further convinced once we have seen her in the flesh?
November I hear??????
-
IMO..........looks at tad Mazda / Beemer for me.......not quite the unique shape which the original (and best some might add) cut, and cut above the rest it did indeed! Anyone out there have any benchmark figures as to what the pricing might be once it hits Blighty in the undressed version of the IS250?
Brave move and I'm sure it will be well received :mat:
-
Thanx Mitch...........my local Lexus dealer intimated that the new car would be available in November and that orders are being taken now for it. I am a little confused because it was my understanding that the new car wouldn't be available for delivery until March 2006.................I await further developments.
Thanks, Dave :duh:

Nice people of Lexus Owners Club, I am returning after a brief sojurn away from the marque....yes I did indeed sample other makes in the 2 years since I plied the LOC pages and since the IS300 Sport with tasteful bling had to go out to farm, but I am back and was wondering if any of you learened types have any info to pass regarding the new IS which I hear is to be launched at the Geneva show in March?? I have asked my local Lexus dealer but they are as tight lipped as a tight lipped thing from old tight lipped town......do spill the beanz and bring me up to date?
Am I to believe it will have a 2.5 litre powerplant????? Will the car be available in the UK post November 2005???I await a plethora of updates..
Lexus rules OK!!!!
