Hope you are keeping well. I kept making the same mistake until I eventually hung on to my 5th one! They are still out there, but way less than there used to be available.
It's been a while, had two mk1 and two mk2. Picking up my 3rd mk2 which is Tom's edition. I will be keeping it..

It's been years since I have been here. Norkep not seen you for over 10 years if not more. Sold my mk1 years ago. Worse mistake I ever made.

hi Eddie, are you based in the uk. if yes you could get it sorted for around 25pounds. just bought a ls400 from salvage and it didn't come with keys. i was given the same price but luckily the guy in lexus/toyota parts refered me to someone.

Hi
There was a set of original 9 spoke 10" rears and 8.5" front originals on Ebay recently, still there I think?

Thanks Alan and paul. i gave up on the footbrake adjuster as it was a pain to adjust. i need a spanner with a wrench at the end as there is restricted movement under the car.

thanks for reply. i managed to drain the radiator but didn't go as far as you suggested. i have managed to top up with 5 litres. i will keep topping up to see how much i can put in.

Just noticed that i have green fluid in my radiator and it doesnt appeared to have been changed the last time i had it serviced. since i have no japanese history with the car i have decided to flust the system and change anti freeze. i dont want to take radiator out as i believe in "if its not broken dont fix it".
the other reason for flushing system is that the engine bay feels very very hot but my temperature gauge never goes over the half way mark. car runs fine but am just thinking if everything is ok.
i have bought 10 litres of toyota long life antifreeze (red one). but i want to make sure am doing everything right.
1. i have opened the radiator cap and opened the drain on the right hand side of rad. i can see fluid escaping but am i draining everything out this way or am i missing something. does the engine block empty this way as i have been told not to mix different colors of anti freeze.
2 what do i check for before or during putting new anti freeze in radiator?
3 how do i avoid air locks?

Just saw a Bmw 850ci 1991 with 150000 on eBay. it appears to be well looked after and i have been speaking to the owner for a swap with my 1995 N reg aristo with 65000 miles. i fancy a change (hold on before you cast me away) i still have a 25000 miles aristo parked in my garage unregistered. i can never go without an aristo i would get withdrawal shakes if i did.
the owner wants 2000 pounds extra + my aristo. that put me off. would it be a good move to go for it. insurance is 200 pounds cheaper than my aristo and i presume the 5litre would be similar consumption to what i get with my 3 litre twin turbo.
-
sorted problem. i was nosing around engine and i found a bottle next to fan and under the air inlet that leads to air filter. it appeared that when the garage changed the compressor and some how took off one of the hydrulic pipes but only topped up the power steering but not the hydrulic fan. after speaking to aristo mobile encyclopedia NORKEP, he confirmed that it needed topping up.
just topped up with with dex iii ATF and the noise is completely gone. am so happy now.

25 pounds thats good work by the council. what do i say to them when i call them.
-
local councils will take them away
needs to be registered at your address though !
might be a nominal charge
thanks guys, i will give the council a ring in the morning. not sure if i will have a enough time to register it before taking it to bits.
i intend to take as much as i can eg gear box, disc, calipers bonnet, lights, doors. basically anything i can keep or sell.
-
managed to track a gs300 that i intend to buy and break for parts as i have two aristos. i can get the car to a mechanic who has promised to help strip it apart but the problem is what do i do after taking all the bits off it and its only left with the shell.
not sure if the scrap yard will touch it as it would be of no use to them.
